2019 Zhuhai Championships
The 2019 Zhuhai Championships was a men's tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It was the 1st edition of the Zhuhai Championships (replacing the Shenzhen Open), and part of the ATP Tour 250 series of the 2019 ATP Tour. It took place at the Hengqin International Tennis Center in Zhuhai, China, from September 23–29. ATP Tour
The ATP Tour is a worldwide top-tier tennis tour for men organized by the Association of Tennis Professionals. The second-tier tour is the ATP Challenger Tour and the third-tier is the ITF Men's World Tennis Tour. The equivalent women's organisation is the WTA Tour. ATP Tour tournaments The ATP Tour comprises ATP Masters 1000, ATP 500, and ATP 250 and the ATP Cup. The ATP also oversees the ATP Challenger Tour, a level below the ATP Tour, and the ATP Champions Tour for seniors. The Grand Slam tournaments, the Olympic tennis tournament, the Davis Cup, and the entry-level ITF World Tennis Tour do not fall under the purview of the ATP, but are overseen by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) instead and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for the Olympics. Gaël Monfils
Gaël Sébastien Monfils (; born 1 September 1986) is a French professional tennis player. He has been ranked as high as world No. 6 in singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), which he achieved in November 2016. His career highlights include reaching two major semifinals at the 2008 French Open and 2016 US Open, and three ATP Masters 1000 finals – two at the Paris Masters in 2009 and 2010, and the other at the 2016 Monte-Carlo Masters. Dominik Koepfer (born 29 April 1994) is a German professional tennis player. He has achieved a career-high ATP singles ranking of world No. 50 on 10 May 2021, and a doubles ranking of No. 92 on 14 February 2022. He played college tennis at Tulane University. Damir Džumhur
Damir Džumhur ( ; born 20 May 1992) is a professional tennis player from Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is currently Bosnia and Herzegovina's No. 1 player. His career-best singles ranking of World No. 23 achieved on 2 July 2018, makes him the highest-ranked player ever competing for Bosnia and Herzegovina. By winning the 2017 St. Petersburg Open singles tournament, Džumhur became the first player competing under the Bosnian flag to claim an ATP World Tour title. Zhang Zhizhen (; ; born 16 October 1996) is a Chinese professional tennis player. He reached his career-high singles ranking of world No. 69 on 8 May 2023, and his career-high doubles ranking of world No. 211 in September 2017. He has won two singles and two doubles titles on the ATP Challenger, and two singles and two doubles titles on the ITF Futures Tour.
