2019 DFB-Pokal Final
The 2019 DFB-Pokal Final decided the winner of the 2018–19 DFB-Pokal, the 76th season of the annual German football cup competition. The match was played on 25 May 2019 at the Olympiastadion in Berlin. The match featured Bundesliga clubs RB Leipzig, playing in their first final, and Bayern Munich, the record winners of the competition. Bayern Munich won the final 3–0 for their 19th DFB-Pokal title. With the win, Bayern completed their 12th domestic double, and therefore played away to 2018–19 Bundesliga runners-up Borussia Dortmund in the 2019 DFL-Supercup in August 2019. The 2018–19 DFB-Pokal was the 76th season of the annual German Association football, football cup competition. Sixty-four teams participated in the competition, including all teams from the previous year's Bundesliga and the 2. Bundesliga. The competition began on 17 August 2018 with the first of six rounds and ended on 25 May 2019 with the final at the Olympiastadion (Berlin), Olympiastadion in Berlin, a nominally neutral venue, which has hosted the final since 1985. The 1982 DFB-Pokal Final decided the winner of the 1981–82 DFB-Pokal, the 39th season of Germany's knockout football cup competition. It was played on 1 May 1982 at the Waldstadion in Frankfurt. Bayern Munich won the match 4–2 against 1. FC Nürnberg, to claim their 6th cup title. The Austrian Reinhold Hintermaier opened the scoring for underdogs Nürnberg after 30 minutes with a shot from about 40 meters away, before Werner Dreßel doubled ''Der Club''s lead just prior to halftime. However, Bayern stormed back from the halftime deficit. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge got a goal back for ''Die Roten'' in the 54th minute, before Wolfgang Kraus scored the equalising goal in the 65th minute.
