The 2018 Korea Open (also known as the 2018 KEB Hana Bank Korea Open for sponsorship purposes) was a women's professional tennis tournament played on hard courts. It was the 15th edition of the tournament, and part of the 2018 WTA Tour. It took place in Seoul, South Korea between 17 and 23 September 2018. WTA International Tournaments
The WTA International Tournaments was a category for professional tennis tournaments of the Women's Tennis Association from the 2009 WTA Tour until 2020, which replaced the previous Tier III and Tier IV categories. The winner of a WTA International adds 280 points to her WTA ranking. Irina-Camelia Begu (born 26 August 1990) is a Romanian professional tennis player. She reached a career-high singles ranking of No. 22 in the world, in August 2016. Luksika "Luk" Kumkhum ( th, ลักษิกา คำขำ; ; born 21 July 1993) is a Thai tennis player. She turned professional in 2011, and reached her career-high singles ranking of world No. 66 on 19 November 2018. On 16 July 2018, she peaked at No. 86 of the WTA doubles rankings.
