2017 Arizona Wildcats Football Team
The 2017 Arizona Wildcats football team represented the University of Arizona during the 2017 season. The season was the Wildcats's 118th overall, 40th as a member of the Pac-12 Conference, seventh within the Pac-12 South Division, and the sixth and final year under head coach Rich Rodriguez. The team played their home games at Arizona Stadium in Tucson, Arizona for the 89th straight year. They finished the regular season with a 7–5, 5–4 in Pac-12 play to finish in third place in the South Division, making it into a bowl game. They were invited to the Foster Farms Bowl where they faced Purdue, losing 35–38. Rich Rodriguez was fired after 6 seasons with Arizona. Rich Rodriguez
Richard Alan Rodriguez (; born May 24, 1963), also known as Rich Rod, is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the head coach at Jacksonville State University. Rodriguez previously was the head football coach at Salem University (1988), Glenville State College (1990–1996), West Virginia University (2001–2007), the University of Michigan (2008–2010), and the University of Arizona (2012–2017). His career college football coaching record stands at 172–121–2. In 2011, Rodriguez worked as an analyst for CBS Sports. KOLD-TV (channel 13) is a television station in Tucson, Arizona, United States, affiliated with CBS. Gary Brightwell
Gary Brightwell Jr. (born February 28, 1999) is an American football running back for the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Arizona. Early years Gary graduated in 2017 from St. Frances Academy in Baltimore. His senior season he served as team captain and was First-team all-conference and first-team All-State MIAA. He averaged 6.7 yards per carry as a senior rushing for 519 yards and eight touchdowns on 78 carries. Macon County High School is located in Montezuma, Georgia, United States, which is a part of Macon County. Enrollment as of the 2017- 2018 school year is 491. History Macon County High School was established in the late 1950s as a school for Caucasians in the area. The school for African Americans was D.F. Douglas High School, which remained open after the desegregation of American school systems. D.F. Douglass abruptly closed in 1998 due to low attendance. Montezuma is a city in Macon County, Georgia ( ZIP code ''31063''). The population was 3,460 at the 2010 census, a decrease of 13.5% since 2000.
