2016 World Junior Figure Skating Championships
The 2016 World Junior Figure Skating Championships were held from 14–20 March 2016 in Debrecen, Hungary. Commonly called "World Juniors" and "Junior Worlds", the event determined the World Junior champions in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Anna Dušková / Martin Bidař and Daniel Samohin became the first World Junior champions in figure skating from the Czech Republic and Israel, respectively. Japan's Marin Honda won the ladies' title and Lorraine McNamara / Quinn Carpenter took the ice dancing event. 2015–16 Figure Skating Season
The 2015–16 figure skating season began on July 1, 2015, and ended on June 30, 2016. Elite skaters began the season competing on the Grand Prix series or Junior Grand Prix series, culminating in the Grand Prix Final, and the ISU Challenger Series. International Skating Union

Luc Maierhofer (born 24 May 2002) is an Austrian figure skater. He is the 2019 Golden Bear of Zagreb silver medalist and the 2022 Austrian national champion. On the junior level, he is the 2016 Dragon Trophy champion, the 2016 Skate Helena silver medalist, and a two-time Austrian junior national champion (2016, 2019). Personal life Maierhofer was born 24 May 2002 in Vienna, Austria. His brother, Johannes Maierhofer, and half-sister Belinda Schönberger have also competed in figure skating. William Badaoui
William Badaoui (born 27 July 1998) is an Australian former competitive ice dancer. With his skating partner, Matilda Friend, he is the 2016 Australian national champion and represented Australia at five Four Continents Figure Skating Championships. Skating career By the 2014–15 season, Badaoui had teamed up with Matilda Friend. The two debuted on the ISU Junior Grand Prix (JGP) series and won the first of their three junior national titles. Free Skating
The free skating segment of figure skating, also called the free skate and the long program, is the second of two segments of competitions, skated after the short program.
