2015 Campeonato Paulista
The 2015 Campeonato Paulista de Futebol Profissional da Primeira Divisão - Série A1 (officially the 2015 Paulistão Itaipava for sponsorship reasons) was the 114th season of São Paulo's top professional football league. Format *In the first stage the twenty teams are drawn, with seeding, into four groups of five teams each, with each team playing once against the fifteen clubs from the other three groups. After each team has played fifteen matches, the top two teams of each group qualify for the quarter-final stage. *After the completion of the first stage, the four clubs with the lowest number of points, regardless of the group, will be relegated to the Campeonato Paulista Série A2. *If all four clubs with the lowest number of points are from the same group, the best third-placed club from the other groups will qualify for the quarter-final stage. The Campeonato Paulista Série A1, commonly known as Campeonato Paulista, nicknamed Paulistão, is the top-flight professional football league in the Brazilian state of São Paulo. Run by the FPF, the league is contested between 16 clubs and typically lasts from January to April. Tatuapé
Tatuapé (, from Tupi Guarani "path of the armadillo", or "short way") is a district in the subprefecture of Mooca, in São Paulo, Brazil. It is divided by a railway and the eight lane Radial Leste highway cutting the district into two, northern and southern, parts. It's home to Platina 220, the tallest building of São Paulo, scheduled to be fully operational in 2022. Southern Tatuapé is the most developed side, and it was one of the first regions in Brazil where viticulture was established. Vines were first planted on these north-facing slopes in 1550 and production was widespread by the end of the 19th century, with the establishment of farms owned by Italian families arriving in the district. Goal difference, goal differential or points difference is a form of tiebreaker used to rank sport teams which finish on equal points in a league competition. Either "goal difference" or "points difference" is used, depending on whether matches are scored by goals (as in ice hockey and association football) or by points (as in rugby union and basketball). Goal difference is calculated as the number of goals scored in all league matches minus the number of goals conceded, and is sometimes known simply as plus–minus.
