2013 Campeonato Brasileiro Série D
In 2013, the Campeonato Brasileiro Série D, the fourth division of the Brazilian League, will be contested for the fifth time in history. It will be contested by 40 clubs, four of which will eventually qualify to the Campeonato Brasileiro Série C to be contested in 2014. Competition format The 40 teams are divided in eight groups of 5, playing within them in a double round-robin format. The two best ranked in each group at the end of 10 rounds will qualify to the Second Stage, which will be played in home-and-away system. Winners advance to Third Stage. The quarterfinal winners will be promoted to the Série C 2014. As there is no Série E, or fifth division, technically there will be no relegation. Campeonato Brasileiro Série D
The Campeonato Brasileiro Série D (English: Brazilian Championship Serie D) is the fourth division of the Brazilian football league system, and was announced by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) on April 9, 2008. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série D was formed from the split of the Série C, keeping its best 20 clubs and playing double round robin as does the top three divisions. The Série D keeps the same format of the older Série C, but with participation limited to 40 clubs recognized by the state federation. In 2016 the Série D was expanded to 68 clubs, but in 2022 it will be reduced to 64 clubs. The 2013 Campeonato Alagoano de Futebol was the 83rd season of Alagoas's top professional football league. The competition began on January 12 and ended on May 19. CRB were the champions for the 27th time. Sport Atalaia and União were relegated. Format In the first stage consists of a double round-robin format. Campeonato Baiano
The Campeonato Baiano is the football league of the state of Bahia, Brazil. The championship has been played since 1905 without interruption. 2020 format First stage: 10 teams are included in one group, playing once only against all teams in the group. The four best teams qualify to the semifinals, while the last-placed team is relegated to the Second Level. Final stage The four best teams play in a two-legged knockout tie, with the first facing the fourth and the second facing the third placed.
