2012–13 Pakistan Premier League
The 2012–13 Pakistan Premier League was the 9th season of the Pakistan Premier League, the Pakistani professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 2004. The season began on 5 September 2012 and ended on 15 January 2013. Khan Research Laboratories were the defending champions, having won their second Premier League title the previous season. This was their second top division league title. On 13 January 2013, Khan Research Laboratories won their third Premier League title and Pakistani titles after drawing 0–0 with Pakistan Airlines at KPT Stadium. Kaleemullah Khan became the first player to score 30+ goals in a Pakistan Premier League season, after scoring 35 goals. The Pakistan Premier League (PPL; ur, پاکستان پریمیئر لیگ) is a Pakistani professional league for men's association football clubs. At the top of the Pakistan football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Football Federation League. Since inception of the Pakistan Premier League in 2004, four clubs have won the title: Khan Research Laboratories (5) WAPDA (4), Pakistan Army (2) and K-Electric F.C., K-Electric (1). KRL Stadium
The Shoaib Akhtar Stadium, formerly known as Khan Research Laboratories Ground, is a multi-use stadium in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. At first named after the Pakistan nuclear enrichment facility Khan Research Laboratories, it was renamed Shoaib Akhtar Stadium in honour of the former Pakistani fast bowler in March 2021. The stadium has a capacity of 8,000 spectators. It is currently used mostly for football matches, on club level by KRL FC of the Pakistan Premier League. The People's Football Stadium is a football stadium located in Lyari, a neighbourhood in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. It is owned by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, formerly City District Government of Karachi. It has a capacity of 40,000. Nushki (Urdu , ) is a town and district in Balochistan, Pakistan. It lies in a plain south-west of Quetta, at an elevation of above sea level.
