2011–12 Liga De Honra
The 2011–12 Liga de Honra, also known as Liga Orangina due to sponsorship reasons, was the 22nd season of the second-tier of football in Portugal. A total of 16 teams contested the league, 12 of which already had contested it in the 2009–10, and two of which were promoted from the Portuguese Second Division, and two of which were relegated from the 2010–11 Primeira Liga. Liga De Honra
The Liga Portugal 2 (), also known as Liga Portugal 2 SABSEG for sponsorship reasons, is the second-highest division of the Portuguese football league system. At the end of each season, the two top-finishing teams are promoted to the top-tier Primeira Liga and the two lowest-ranked teams are relegated to the third-tier league. Starting with the 2021–22 season, relegated teams will no longer compete in the Campeonato de Portugal, which will become the fourth tier, but in a newly created third-level competition named Liga 3 (League 3). The division began in 1990 as the Segunda Divisão de Honra (Second Division of Honour), superseding the Segunda Divisão (Segunda Divisão) as the second tier of Portuguese football. The 2011–12 Primeira Liga (also known as Liga ZON Sagres for sponsorship reasons) was the 78th season of the Primeira Liga, the top professional league for Portuguese association football clubs. It began on 14 August 2011 and ended on 13 May 2012. A total of 16 teams contested the league, 14 of which already took part in the previous season and two of which were promoted from the Liga de Honra. Porto were the defending champions and secured their 26th and second consecutive league title. Estádio António Coimbra Da Mota
Estadio António Coimbra da Mota is a multi-use stadium in Estoril, Portugal. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Primeira Liga side G.D. Estoril Praia. The Estádio do Restelo is a multi-purpose stadium in Lisbon, Portugal. The stadium has a capacity of 19,856 people and was built in 1956, in an old stone quarry. It is situated behind the Jerónimos Monastery in the Lisbon parish of Belém. Estádio da Tapadinha is a football stadium located in Lisbon, Portugal. With a seating capacity up to 4,000 people, it is the home ground of both Atlético Clube de Portugal and Benfica women's football team. Construction Prior to 1925 Benfica lent its pitch to Carcavelinhos. That year, the Benfica Board decided to end the lease at the end of the season, forcing Carcavelinhos to find another pitch. The Board of Carcavelinhos decided to construct its own pitch and locate it next to the Alvito quarry, in Alcântara. António Faustino conceived the Campo da Tapadinha, with help from Sousa Lino and Rodrigues Graça. The construction was managed by the members and athletes of Carcavelinhos, and the field was inaugurated on June 26, 1926. Varzim Sport Club () is a Portuguese football team based in Póvoa de Varzim, near Porto in the north of the country.
