2011 GCC Games
The 2011 GCC Games was the first multi-sport event for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. It was held in Bahrain, from 11 October to 22 October 2011. Around 1,500 sportspeople participated in 11 sports. Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa
Hamad bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa ( ar, حمد بن عيسى بن سلمان آل خليفة '; 28 January 1950) is King of Bahrain since 14 February 2002, after ruling as Emir of Bahrain from 6 March 1999. He is the son of Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the previous and first emir. The country has been ruled by the Al Khalifa dynasty since 1783. Early life and education Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa was born on 28 January 1950 in Riffa, Bahrain. His parents were Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, then Crown Prince, and Hessa bint Salman Al Khalifa. After attending Manama secondary school in Bahrain, Hamad was sent to England to attend Applegarth College in Godalming, Surrey before taking a place at The Leys School in Cambridge. Ismail Abdul-Latif
Ismail (Ismaeel) Abdullatif Ismail Hassan, also spelled Abdullatif ( ar, إسماعيل عبد اللطيف; born September 11, 1986), is a Bahraini professional football forward, currently playing for Al Khalidiya SC and the Bahrain national football team, and appeared for the team in the 2007, 2011 and 2015 AFC Asian Cup finals. He is famous for scoring a dramatic injury time goal in the match against Saudi Arabia on 9 September 2009 that sent Bahrain into the 2010 World Cup Qualification final play-off round against New Zealand. Career He is a senior member of the squad since 2005, played a significant role on helping Bahrain to reach two consecutive FIFA World Cup playoffs, but failed in both playoffs. Hussain Ali Baba Mohamed ( ar, حسين علي بابا; born 11 February 1982) is a former Bahraini footballer who last played for Bahrain Riffa Club, Al Riffa and the Bahrain national football team. Career Baba first played for Bahrain Riffa Club, Al Riffa football club from 2003 to 2004 after which he switched to Qatar's Al-Shamal Sports Club, Al-Shamal football club from 2004 till 2005.
