2007 South American U-20 Championship
The 2007 South American Youth Championship (Sudamericano Sub-20) was the 23rd edition of the competition. It was played in Paraguay between 7 and 28 January 2007, and was contested by all ten U-20 national football teams of CONMEBOL. This was the fourth time Paraguay hosted the competition. Brazil finished undefeated and won their ninth title, beating rivals Argentina in the final. Format The teams are separated in two groups of five, and each team plays four matches in a pure round-robin stage. The three top competitors advance to a single final group of six, wherein each team plays five matches. The top four teams in the final group qualify to the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup, while the top two also qualify for the 2008 Olympic tournament (U-23). Venezuelan Football Federation
The Venezuelan Football Federation ( es, link=no, Federación Venezolana de Fútbol or FVF) is the governing body of football in Venezuela. It was founded in 1925 and affiliated in 1952. Mathías Leonardo Vidangossy Rebolledo (born 25 May 1987) is a Chilean professional footballer who currently plays for Unión La Calera as an attacking midfielder or winger. Club career Born in Santiago, Vidangossy began his career in the youth squads of Club Deportivo Universidad Católica, but finished his football grooming at Unión Española. He made his Chilean Primera División debuts in 2005, and became a constant feature in the starting lineups. Nicolás Francisco Larrondo Ossandón (born October 4, 1987) is a Chilean former footballer who played as a centre-back. Club career He primarily played centre-back defender and wore the number three. He made his professional debut during the 2006 Clausura. In 2009, he was part of the squad that won the Apertura championship. Struggling with knee injuries since 2008, and after becoming a free agent and not receiving any offer, he retired from football in 2015 at the age of just 26. Lucas Pezzini Leiva (born 9 January 1987), known as Lucas or Lucas Leiva (), is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Grêmio. Roberto Carlos Silvera Calcerrada (born 30 January 1971) is an Uruguayan football referee. He has been an International FIFA referee since 2003 and officiated several important fixtures since then which include the semifinals of Copa Libertadores in 2007 between Boca Juniors and Cúcuta Deportivo (second leg) and again in 2008 between Boca Juniors and Fluminense (first leg).
