2005 New Orleans Saints
The 2005 season was the New Orleans Saints' 39th in the National Football League. The season began with the team trying to improve from their 8–8 record from 2004. The Saints played two preseason games in the Louisiana Superdome before being forced to evacuate New Orleans due to Hurricane Katrina. They were forced to play the rest of the season on the road, splitting their games between their temporary headquarters at San Antonio’s Alamodome, and LSU’s Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, and even playing their first home game at Giants Stadium. The season ended with a 3–13 record, their equal-worst record alongside 1996 and 1999 since their 1–15 1980 season, and the firing of Jim Haslett. He was replaced by Sean Payton the following 2006 season. NFC South
The National Football Conference – Southern Division or NFC South is one of the four Division (sport), divisions of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL). It was created prior to the 2002 NFL season, when the league realigned divisions after expanding to 32 teams. The Florida State Seminoles football team represents Florida State University (variously Florida State or FSU) in the sport of American football. Adrian Jamal McPherson (born May 8, 1983) is a former gridiron football quarterback. McPherson played the majority of his professional career for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League. He was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the fifth round of the 2005 NFL Draft. Chase Lyman
Chase Lyman (born September 4, 1982) is a former American football wide receiver. Lyman was raised in Los Altos Hills, CA and is the son of former NFL player Brad Lyman. He attended Saint Francis High School (Mountain View), Saint Francis High School in Mountain View, California where he played football, basketball and ran track. The San Jose Mercury News named Lyman their Male Athlete of the Year in 2000. The San Jose Sports Hall of Fame awarded him their Outstanding Male High School Athlete of the Year in 2000. Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. Alfred William Fincher (born August 15, 1983) is a former American football linebacker. He was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the third round of the 2005 NFL Draft. He played college football at Connecticut. Fincher has also been a member of the Detroit Lions, Washington Redskins, and New York Sentinels.
