Chilean Primera División
The Chilean Primera División (English: First Division) is the top-tier league of the Chilean football league system. It is organized by the '' ANFP''. The league is known as the Campeonato AFP PlanVital for sponsorship reasons. Format As of the 2018 season, 16 teams compete in the league, playing against each other two times, home and away. Relegation and promotion Currently, the two teams with the worst scores in the season, are relegated to Primera B, and replaced by the Champions and Runners-up of this Division. Luis Fuentes (footballer, Born 1971)
Luis Alberto Fuentes Rodríguez (born 14 August 1971) is Chilean former footballer that played as centre back in his years active. His last club was Coquimbo Unido. International career Fuentes made 24 appearances for Chile from 1998 to 2005. In addition, he played for Chile B against England B on 10 February 1998. Chile won by 2-1. As a curiosity, he popularized a striking play what was called ''Culebra'' (Snake) due to the fact he threw himself to the ground to block Ronaldo in the 2006 FIFA World Cup qualification match against Brazil on 6 June 2004. Managerial career While he was a player of Coquimbo Unido, he studied at the INAF (Football National Institute) and graduated as a Football Manager in 2014. Rubén Selman
Rubén Marcos Selmán Albornoz (25 July 1963 – 10 February 2020) was an association football referee from Chile. Selman was born in Santiago, and started refereeing in his twenties at games featured in the minor Chilean divisions. In the 1990s he started in the Primera División de Chile. In 1998, he received his FIFA badge and appeared in CONMEBOL tournaments. He officiated matches in the Copa Libertadores, Copa Mercosur, Copa Sudamericana, international friendlies and South American World Cup qualifiers. During his career the directors of Colo-Colo were adamant in processing a formal complaint with the domestic club organization Asociación Nacional de Fútbol Profesional de Chile. The directors felt that the institution was being persecuted by Selman after a series of ejections. Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos
Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos (originally known as Estadio Nacional) is the national stadium of Chile, and is located in the Ñuñoa district of Santiago. It is the largest stadium in Chile with an official capacity of 48,665. It is part of a 62 hectare sporting complex which also features tennis courts, an aquatics center, a modern gymnasium, a velodrome, a BMX circuit, and an assistant ground/warmup athletics track. Construction began in February 1937 and the stadium was inaugurated on December 3, 1938. The architecture was based on the Olympiastadion in Berlin, Germany. Unión San Felipe is a Chilean Football club, their hometown is San Felipe in the V Región of Valparaíso. They play in the second level of the Chilean football league, the Primera B. Rangers De Talca
Club Social de Deportes Rangers is a Chilean football club based in the city of Talca. The club was founded November 2, 1902 and plays in the second level of the Chilean football system. Their home games are played at the Fiscal stadium, which has a capacity of 16,000 seats. History The name Rangers was chosen by a Scotsman, Juan Greenstret, who was one of the founding fathers of the Club on behalf of Mrs. Amalia Neale de Silva, the first benefactress of the club.
