Telewizja Polska S.A. (; "Polish Television"; TVP), also known in English as the public Polish Television is a Polish state media corporation. It is the largest Polish television network, although viewership has been declining in the 2010s. Monika Brodka
Monika Maria Brodka (born 7 February 1988) is a Polish singer, who rose to fame as the winner of the third season of Polish Pop Idol (''Idol'') in 2004. She has since released 3 albums, including the 2010 album ''Granda'' which received critical acclaim in Poland and abroad. Brodka has received several nominations to the Fryderyk award, while her singles "Ten", "Dziewczyna Mojego Chłopaka", "Miałeś być" and "Znam Cię Na Pamięć" have all topped the official Polish Music Charts. History Early career After winning the 2004 edition of Polish Pop idol, Monika Brodka released her first studio record titled ''Album'', which was certified gold after a months. Idol (Polish TV Series)
''Idol'' is a television show on the Polish television network Polsat, based on the popular British show ''Pop Idol''. The show is a contest to determine the best young singer in Poland. It is hosted by Maciej Rock. In the show, people first audition but eventually the performers are narrowed down to 10 finalists, with each contestant performing live. There are four judges (or five) who provide critiques of each competitor's performance. Viewers have two hours following the broadcast of the show to vote via telephone and SMS for their favorite contestant. On the night's results episode, the contestant with the fewest votes is sent home. ''M jak miłość'' (lit. ''L for Love'') is a Polish soap opera, revolving around the multiple generations of the Mostowiak family. The series premiered on 4 November 2000 on TVP2, primarily as a weekly drama, and after one season shifted into a new timeslot and extended to two (and occasionally three) episodes per week. For the last few years the show has been the most watched drama on Polish television. Its popularity led to a Russian adaptation, entitled ''Lyubov kak Lyubov''. ''Na Wspólnej'' (, "On Wspólna Street") is a Polish television soap opera. It has been running since 2003 on the TVN channel as its flagship primetime weekday soap opera. It is loosely based on the German production ''Unter uns'' and it follows the lives of the inhabitants of an apartment block in Wspólna Street, Warsaw. Episodes tend to last around 20 minutes (without commercials). It is a Polish version of the Hungarian '' Barátok közt''. After 100 episodes production started to create own storylines. The series is shot almost entirely in Warsaw and produced by the Polish branch of Fremantle Media. ''Na Wspólnej'' is the second Polish television soap opera ever to exceed the number of 3,000 episodes.
