The 26th Arabian Gulf Cup will be the 26th edition of the biennial football competition for the eight members of the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation. The tournament will be held in Kuwait in 2024. 25th Arabian Gulf Cup
The 25th Arabian Gulf Cup, known as Khaleeji Zain 25 for sponsorship reasons, was the 25th edition of the biennial football competition for the eight members of the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation. The tournament was hosted in Iraq for the first time since 1979, in the host city of Basra. Hosts Iraq won their fourth title by beating Oman 3–2 after extra time in the final. Teams Draw The draw was held on 25 October 2022 at at the Grand Millennium Al Seef in Basra. The eight teams were drawn into two groups of four, by selecting one team from each of the four ranked pots. For the draw, the teams were allocated to four pots based on the FIFA World Rankings of October 2022. 2010 Gulf Cup Of Nations
The 20th Arabian Gulf Cup ( ar, كأس الخليج العربي) was the twentieth edition of the biannual Gulf Cup competition, and took place in Aden, Yemen, from 22 November to 5 December 2010. The tournament was held in Yemen for the first time in the tournament's history, and this edition celebrated the 40th anniversary of the cup as well as the 20th anniversary of the tournament. The opening match was played between the host Yemen and Saudi Arabia at the 22 May Stadium in Aden. Kuwait won the tournament for the tenth time in the team's history, against 2-time consecutive second-place finishers, Saudi Arabia in a 1–0 score that ended with extra time. 1990 Gulf Cup Of Nations
The 10th Arabian Gulf Cup ( ar, كأس الخليج العربي) was held in Kuwait, between 21 February to 9 March 1990. All matches were played at Peace & Friendship Stadium. Saudi Arabia withdrew before the tournament, as they considered that the horses in the competition logo were a reference to two animals used by the Kuwaitis in the Battle of Jahra in 1920. Iraq also withdrew while the tournament was still running, complaining about the referee on their tie with the UAE. The 4th Arabian Gulf Cup ( ar, دورة كأس الخليج العربي الرابعة) was the fourth edition of the Arabian Gulf Cup. The tournament was held in Doha, Qatar and was won by three-time defending champions Kuwait. The tournament took place between 26 March and 15 April 1976. All matches were played at the Khalifa Sports City Stadium. Iraq took part in the competition for the first time. Both Iraq and Kuwait finished level on points and goal difference in the round-robin group stage; thus, a play-off final was held to determine the champion. Kuwait defeated Iraq 4–2 in the final to win their fourth title in a row. The number of teams was increased from six to seven and the format of the competition was changed back to the original format used in 1970 and 1972. The 3rd Arabian Gulf Cup ( ar, دورة كأس الخليج العربي الثالثة) was the third edition of the Arabian Gulf Cup. The tournament was held in Kuwait City, Kuwait and was won by two-time defending champions and hosts Kuwait. The tournament took place between 15 and 29 March 1974. All matches were played at the Al Kuwait Sports Club Stadium. Oman took part in the competition for the first time. Kuwait defeated Saudi Arabia 4–0 in the final to win their third title in a row. This victory meant that Kuwait had earned the privilege of keeping the trophy permanently. The number of teams was increased from five to six and the format of the competition was changed.
