2025 Spanish Motorcycle Grand Prix
The 2025 Spanish motorcycle Grand Prix (officially known as the Estrella Galicia 0,0 Grand Prix of Spain) was the fifth round of the 2025 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. All races were held at the Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto in Jerez de la Frontera on 27 April 2025. Factory Yamaha rider Fabio Quartararo started from pole position, his first since the 2022 Indonesian Grand Prix and was the first non-Ducati pole position since the 2024 Japanese Grand Prix. In this series, MotoGP introduces the 'Rider Of The Race' program which will take place every Sunday Grand Prix race. Rider of the Race is an award voted by MotoGP fans for the most outstanding rider in a race, and Fabio Quartararo was chosen as the first rider to win Rider of The Race. The 2025 FIM MotoGP World Championship is the premier class of the 77th Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) Road Racing World Championship season, the highest level of competition in motorcycle road racing. Season summary The first nine rounds of the season began with strong results for brothers Marc and Alex Márquez, who shared the top two podium positions in each of the first nine sprint races. Pedro Acosta Sánchez (born 25 May 2004) is a Spanish Grand Prix motorcycle racer, competing in MotoGP for the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team. Acosta took his maiden win in only his second Moto3 race at the 2021 Doha motorcycle Grand Prix after starting from the pitlane as a penalty for a disciplinary infringement that originated in free practice. In the same season, he won the 2021 Moto3 World Championship becoming the first rookie champion since Loris Capirossi in 1990, and the second youngest ever champion, just one day older than Capirossi was at the time of winning.
