2025 Grand Prix Of Long Beach
The 2025 Grand Prix of Long Beach (formally known as the 2025 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach) was a sports car race, held at Long Beach Street Circuit on April 12, 2025. It was the third round of the 2025 IMSA SportsCar Championship. Background Preview International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) president John Doonan confirmed the race was part of the schedule of the 2025 IMSA SportsCar Championship (IMSA SCC) in March 2024. It is the eleventh year the event was held as part of the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, and the sixteenth annual running of the race, counting the period between 2006 and 2013 when it was a round of the Rolex Sports Car Series and the American Le Mans Series, respectively. Indy Dontje (born 21 November 1992 in Alkmaar, North Holland) is a Dutch racing driver. After starting in ADAC Formel Masters and ATS Formel 3 Cup Dontje is now a Mercedes-Benz GT3 driver. Career Karting Father Arthur Dontje supported his sons Indy and Milan with their own karting team early in their careers. Arthurs chocolate company, Dobla, was the naming sponsor. Indy started racing in Rotax Max powered classes, such as MiniMax and Junior Max. The Porsche 963 (Type 9R0) is an LMDh sports prototype racing car designed by Porsche and built by Multimatic, to compete in the Hypercar and GTP (Grand Touring Prototype) classes in the FIA World Endurance Championship and IMSA SportsCar Championship, respectively.
