Yamandú Ramón Antonio Orsi Martínez (born 13 June 1967) is a Uruguayan politician and history teacher who has been the 43rd president of Uruguay since March 2025. A member of the left-wing Movement of Popular Participation, the main faction of the Broad Front (Uruguay), Broad Front party, he served as intendant of the Canelones Department from 2015 to February 2020, and a second term from November 2020 to 2024. Ricardo Pascale Cavalieri (29 August 1942 – 26 January 2024) was a Uruguayan economist, professor, and sculptor. Biography A man close to the Colorado Party, he chaired the Central Bank of Uruguay from 1985 to 1990 and from 1995 to 1996, during both governments of Julio María Sanguinetti. Juan Ricardo Faccio Porta (8 December 1936 – 15 July 2024) was a Uruguayan football player and manager. Career Born in the Jacinto Vera neighborhood of Montevideo, Faccio began playing football as a defender with Club Nacional de Football in the late 1950s. He went on loan to C.A. Fenix and returned to Nacional. Faccio also played for River Plate de Montevideo and Liverpool de Montevideo. After he retired from playing, Faccio became a football manager and later a sports journalist. He managed local side C.A. Peñarol before moving abroad to manage the El Salvador national team in 1977 followed by several clubs in Mexico and Colombia. Nelson Adrián Peña Robaina (20 January 1976 – 4 April 2024) was a Uruguayan businessman and politician of the Colorado Party. He served as the first Minister of the Environment from 27 August 2020 to 30 January 2023.
