The 2022 Postnord UCI WWT Vårgårda West Sweden was a women's bicycle race and was the 18th round of the 2022 UCI Women's World Tour. It was held on 7 August 2022, in Vårgårda, Sweden, the day after the 2022 Postnord Vårgårda WestSweden TTT. 2022 UCI Women's World Tour
The 2022 UCI Women's World Tour was a competition that included twenty-three road bicycle racing, road cycling events throughout the 2022 in women's road cycling, 2022 women's cycling season. It was the seventh edition of the UCI Women's World Tour, the ranking system launched by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) in 2016. The competition began with 2022 Strade Bianche Women, Strade Bianche on 5 March, and finished with the final stage of the Tour de Romandie Féminin on 9 October. Dutch rider Annemiek van Vleuten () became the first rider to win the individual classification for a third time, having previously won the 2018 UCI Women's World Tour, 2018 and 2021 UCI Women's World Tour, 2021 titles. Open De Suède Vårgårda
Open de Suède Vårgårda was an elite professional List of women's road bicycle races, women's road bicycle event held annually in the Vårgårda Municipality of Sweden. Created in 2006, the Open de Suède Vårgårda was part of the UCI Women's Road World Cup until 2015 and sanctioned by the Swedish Cycling Federation. Since 2008, a team time trial has been held in conjunction with the main race as a part of the UCI Women's Road World Cup. From 2016, the race was part of the new UCI Women's WorldTour, UCI Women's World Tour. In January 2023, the Vårgårda Cykelklubb ceased the organisation of the races due to economic reasons. Emilia Fahlin (born 24 October 1988) is a Swedish road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's Continental Team . Fahlin has won the Swedish National Road Race Championships four times (2008, 2013, 2018, 2023) and the Swedish National Time Trial Championships three times in a row from 2009 to 2011. Career Born in Örebro, Sweden, Fahlin competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London during the women's road race, finishing 19th, and in the women's time trial, finishing 17th. Audrey Cordon-Ragot (née Cordon; born 22 September 1989) is a French former road bicycle racer, who last rode for UCI Women's WorldTeam . Career She competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the Women's road race, but finished over the time limit. In the Women's time trial she finished 15th. In 2013, Cordon won the general classification of the five-day Tour de Bretagne Féminin.
