2022 Davis Cup Americas Zone Group III
The Americas Zone was the unique zone within Group 3 of the regional Davis Cup competition in 2022. The zone's competition was held in round robin format in Escazú (canton), Escazú, Costa Rica, from 22 to 25 June 2022. Participating nations Draw Date: 22–25 June 2022 Location: Costa Rica Country Club, Escazú (canton), Escazú, Costa Rica (hard) Format: Round-robin basis. Two pools of four teams and nations will play each team once in their group. The two group winners will automatically earn promotion to the World Group II play-offs in 2022. Escazú (canton)
Escazú is the second Cantons of Costa Rica, canton in the province of San José Province, San José in Costa Rica. The canton lies west of the San José Canton, and its whole territory is part of the Greater Metropolitan Area (Costa Rica), Greater Metropolitan Area. The canton was one of the country's earliest, established on December 7, 1848. As the metropolitan area has expanded Escazú has become a suburban area on the west side of the national capital city of San José, Costa Rica, San José. Sebastián Quirós
Sebastian (; ) was an early Christian saint and martyr. According to traditional belief, he was killed during the Diocletianic Persecution of Christians. He was initially tied to a post or tree and shot with arrows, though this did not kill him. He was, according to tradition, rescued and healed by Irene of Rome, which became a popular subject in 17th-century painting. In all versions of the story, shortly after his recovery he went to Diocletian to warn him about his sins, and as a result he was clubbed to death. Kevin Major (born September 12, 1949) is a Canadian author who lives in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador with his wife. He writes for both young people and adults, including fiction, literary non-fiction, poetry, and plays. Major was born and raised in Stephenville, Newfoundland. He later moved to St. John's where he attended Memorial University of Newfoundland. Before becoming a writer, he taught school in several parts of the province, including the Eastport Peninsula in Bonavista Bay.
