2021 Winter Cup
The 2021 Winter Cup was an artistic gymnastics competition held at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. In past iterations it was only for men’s artistic gymnasts, however, this competition was the first time that women’s artistic gymnasts were included. Competition schedule The competition featured Senior and Junior competitions for both women's and men's disciplines. Winter Cup
The Winter Cup is an annual winter gymnastics meet for elite Artistic gymnastics, artistic gymnasts of the United States. History The first edition of the Winter Cup was held in 1997 and was initially a men's artistic gymnastics competition. Women competed at the event for the first time in 2021. The competition had a combined senior and junior field until 2018. Madray Emmanuelle Johnson (born July 16, 2007) is an American artistic gymnast. She is the 2021 Junior Pan American Games champion on uneven bars and balance beam and is the 2022 U.S. junior national champion. Junior gymnastics career 2021 In February, Johnson competed at the WOGA Classic where she placed second. She next competed at the 2021 Winter Cup where she placed third in the all-around and third on balance beam. She next competed at the American Classic where she placed third in the all-around and won bronze on uneven bars. She also competed at the 2021 U.S. Classic where she finished seventh on balance beam and seventeenth in the all-around. In June, she competed at her first National Championships. Stephen John Nedoroscik ( ; born October 28, 1998) is an American Artistic gymnastics, artistic gymnast. Alec Yoder
Alec Yoder (born January 21, 1997) is a retired American artistic gymnast. He was a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team and represented the United States at the 2020 Olympic Games, competing as an individual athlete. He is the 2014 Youth Olympic all-around bronze medalist and the 2019 NCAA champion on pommel horse. Early life and education Yoder was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on January 21, 1997, to parents Michael and Rebecca Yoder. Eddie Penev (born 16 August 1990) is a Bulgarian artistic gymnast. He is a former member of the United States national team where he was part of the gold medal-winning teams at the 2014 Pan American Championships and the 2016 Pacific Rim Championships. He competed in NCAA gymnastics for the Stanford Cardinal where he was a three-time individual NCAA champion. Yul Kyung-Tae Moldauer (born August 26, 1996) is an American artistic gymnast. He is the 2017 U.S. national all-around champion and the 2017 World bronze medalist on floor exercise. Riley Austin Loos (born October 6, 2000) is an American artistic gymnast. He was a member of the gold medal-winning team at both the 2018 and 2022 Pan American Championships. He has been a United States men's national gymnastics team member and competed in collegiate gymnastics for Stanford. Nola Rhianne Matthews (born September 20, 2006) is an American artistic gymnast. She is the 2023 Pan American uneven bars champion. Early life Matthews was born on September 20, 2006, in San Jose, California to physician parents Drs. Kari Bertrand (ob-gyn) and AJ Matthews (plastic surgery). Born in the United States, she represents the Philippines internationally and competed for her country of birth in the past.
