Phoenix Rising FC
Phoenix Rising Football Club is an American professional soccer team based in Phoenix, Arizona. Founded in 2014 as Arizona United Soccer Club, the team is a member of the USL Championship. History On March 13, 2014, Kyle Eng, owner of an advertising agency, launched the franchise and named it Arizona United SC. It took the place of Phoenix FC, which folded the previous day, in the USL Pro league. 2014 season In just 178 days after the franchise was awarded by the USL Pro, Arizona United hired a front office staff and coach, put together a roster, secured a stadium, played 28 regular season games, reached the fourth round of the US Open Cup and was in contention for a playoff spot until the next-to-last week of the season. Diego Hernán Valeri (born 1 May 1986) is an Argentine former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. From 2013 to 2021, Valeri played for Major League Soccer club Portland Timbers, and is regarded as one of the league's greatest players of all time, as well as the greatest player in Portland Timbers history. Tega Ikoba (born August 14, 2003), is an American professional soccer player who plays as a forward for Major League Soccer club Portland Timbers. Club career After playing with the Portland Timbers academy from 2018, Ikoba appeared for Portland's USL Championship side Portland Timbers 2 on September 2, 2020, as a 57th-minute substitute in a 2–1 loss to Sacramento Republic. Aodhan Quinn
Aodhan Quinn (born March 22, 1992) is an American professional soccer player who currently plays for Phoenix Rising FC in the USL Championship. Career Early career Quinn played college soccer at Bradley University in 2010 and at the University of Akron between 2011 and 2013. During his time at college Quinn also played for USL PDL clubs Akron Summit Assault during their 2011 season, and Seattle Sounders FC U-23 during their 2012 and 2013 seasons. Professional Quinn was selected by Philadelphia Union in the third round of the 2014 MLS SuperDraft (52nd overall), but wasn't signed by the club. The Portland Timbers are an American professional men's soccer club based in Portland, Oregon. The Timbers compete in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member club of the league's Western Conference. Kino Sports Complex
Kino Sports Complex is a multiple-use sports complex in Tucson, Arizona. The Arizona Diamondbacks and Chicago White Sox formerly utilized the complex's main ballpark, Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium, for Cactus League games each March and had their minor league complexes on-site. The ballpark was also home to the Tucson Sidewinders of the Pacific Coast League for the team's last decade in Tucson, running from the stadium's 1998 opening season to the 2008 season. The ballpark was a temporary home (2011–2013) to the Tucson Padres (formerly the Portland Beavers) of the Pacific Coast League during the team's relocation to El Paso, Texas. It was also the regular season home of the Pecos League's Tucson Saguaros baseball team from 2016 to 2017. Matthew David Hundley (born May 11, 2000) is an American soccer player who plays as a forward. Before turning pro, he appeared in the Premier Development League for Colorado Rapids U-23. Youth Hundley played youth soccer for the Colorado Rapids Academy at the U-18/19 level before attending UCLA. Hundley played one year for the Bruins in 2018, appearing in all 19 matches, starting 14. Hundley finished with five goals and seven assists before being selected to the All-Pac-12 Second Team. Oliver Love Larraz (born September 16, 2001) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder for Major League Soccer club Colorado Rapids.
