2021 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters
The 2021 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters was the thirty-fifth season of the premier German motor racing championship and also the twenty-second season under the moniker of Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters since the series' resumption in 2000. It was the first season of the DTM to be run under Group GT3 regulations, following the costly two-year "Class 1 Touring Cars" venture that led to Audi Sport GmbH, Audi and BMW in motorsport, BMW withdrawing manufacturer support from the series. Maximilian Götz won the drivers' championship in the last race, surrounded by a controversy due to a first-corner collision between his rivals Kelvin van der Linde and Liam Lawson, as well as team orders imposed by Mercedes-AMG in the closing laps. Maximilian Götz
Maximilian Götz (born 4 February 1986) is a German racing driver. He has competed in such series as International Formula Master and the Formula 3 Euro Series. He won the 2003 Formula BMW ADAC season, taking six victories. He also won the 2021 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters, in a highly controversial fashion, by finishing three points ahead of Liam Lawson in the drivers' championship. Sophia Flörsch (; born 1 December 2000) is a Germans, German racing driver who last competed in 2025 Indy NXT, Indy NXT with HMD Motorsports. Lucas Tucci di Grassi (born 11 August 1984) is a Brazilian racing driver, who competes in Formula E for Lola Yamaha ABT.
