2020–21 FC Rostov Season
The 2020–21 season was FC Rostov's 91st season in existence and the club's 12th consecutive season in the top flight of Football in Russia, Russian football. In addition to the 2020–21 Russian Premier League, domestic league, Rostov participated in this season's editions of the 2020–21 Russian Cup (football), Russian Cup and the 2020–21 UEFA Europa League, UEFA Europa League. The season covers the period from 1 August 2020 to 30 June 2021. Rostov finished the season in 9th place, reached the Round of 16 of the Russian Cup, and where knocked out of the 2020–21 UEFA Europa League, UEFA Europa League at the third round stage. FC Rostov () is a Russian professionalism in association football, professional football club based in Rostov-on-Don. The club competes in the Russian Premier League, playing their home matches at the Rostov Arena. History Soviet era (1930-1991) The club was established on 10 May 1930, and was initially named Selmashstroy (Сельмашстрой). They were renamed Selmash in 1936 and Traktor in 1941. Aleksandr Zuyev (footballer)
Aleksandr Dmitriyevich Zuyev (; born 26 June 1996) is a Kazakh footballer who plays for Tobol and the Kazakhstan national team. Born in Kazakhstan, he moved to Russia at a young age and represented the country on junior levels before switching allegiance to Kazakhstan for senior level in 2023. For the most of his career he played as a left winger and in other attacking positions, and he was also deployed as a right-back. Ivelin Ivanov Popov (; born 26 October 1987) is a Bulgarian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Bulgarian First League club Botev Plovdiv.
