2019–20 Scottish League Two
The 2019–20 Scottish League Two (known as Ladbrokes League Two for sponsorship reasons) was the 26th season in the current format of 10 teams in the fourth-tier of Scottish football. Ten teams contested the league: Albion Rovers, Annan Athletic, Brechin City, Cove Rangers, Cowdenbeath, Edinburgh City, Elgin City, Queen's Park, Stenhousemuir and Stirling Albion. The season began on 3 August 2019 and was scheduled to end on 2 May 2020. On 13 March 2020 all SPFL leagues were indefinitely suspended due to the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak. On 8 April, with the pandemic continuing, the SPFL board proposed to curtail the 2019–20 League Two season and use the points per game earned by each team to date as the final standings. Scottish League Two
The Scottish League Two, known as William Hill (bookmaker), William Hill League Two for sponsorship reasons, is the fourth tier of the Scottish Professional Football League, the league competition for men's professional association football, football clubs in Scotland. The Scottish League Two was established in July 2013, after the Scottish Professional Football League was formed by a merger of the Scottish Premier League and Scottish Football League. Since the 2014–15 in Scottish football, 2014–15 season, the bottom team has entered a play-off against the winner of a play-off between the winners of the Highland Football League, Highland and Lowland Football League, Lowland Leagues for a place in the following season's competition. Balmoral Stadium
Balmoral Stadium is a football ground located in the Cove Bay area of Aberdeen, Scotland. Opened in 2018, it is the home ground of club Cove Rangers. From 2021, it is being shared by Scottish Women's Premier League team Aberdeen. History Cove Rangers started planning to move from their old Allan Park ground in the mid-2000s, as this formed part of their unsuccessful pitch for Scottish Football League membership in 2008. Initially, the move was tied in with the New Aberdeen Stadium proposals, as Calder Park would also have served as a training facility for Aberdeen FC. Planning permission for this project was refused in August 2012, as Aberdeen City Council opted to examine other possibilities for development in the area. Glebe Park, Brechin
Glebe Park (known as the "Carnegie Fuels Stadium at Glebe Park" for sponsorship reasons) is a association football, football stadium in Brechin, Scotland, which is the home ground of Brechin City F.C., Brechin City. Glebe Park opened in 1919. The ground had just one portable stand, which had been used at the Perth, Scotland, Perth agricultural show. Brechin City joined the Scottish Football League in 1929–30 in Scottish football, 1929, when a pavilion was added and the Cemetery End terrace was covered. The biggest ever attendance was 8,123, against Aberdeen F.C., Aberdeen in a Scottish Cup tie played on 3 February 1973. This attendance was greater than the population of Brechin. Galabank is a Association football, football stadium in the town of Annan, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. It is the home ground of Scottish Professional Football League club Annan Athletic F.C., Annan Athletic, who have played there since 1953. The ground has been shared by non-League teams Mid-Annandale F.C., Mid-Annandale (2012–2014) and Edusport Academy (2015–2019). Cliftonhill Stadium, commonly known as Cliftonhill and currently 'The Reigart Stadium' for sponsorship purposes, is a football stadium in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, Scotland. It is the home ground of former Scottish Professional Football League team Albion Rovers F.C., who have played at the ground since 1919. 2019–20 Lowland Football League
The 2019–20 Scottish Lowland Football League was the seventh season of the Lowland Football League, the fifth tier of the Scottish football pyramid system. East Kilbride were the reigning champions. The season began on 27 July 2019 and was scheduled to end on 18 April 2020, but on 13 March, the league was indefinitely suspended due to the 2019–20 coronavirus outbreak. A points per game formula was subsequently used to determine the final standings, with Kelty Hearts declared champions on 13 April. The fixtures were published on 15 June 2018 and the season began on 4 August 2018. Ten teams contested the league: Airdrieonians, Arbroath, Brechin City, Dumbarton, East Fife, Forfar Athletic, Montrose, Raith Rovers, Stenhousemuir and Stranraer. Arbroath won the league following a 1–1 draw at Brechin City on 13 April 2019. Brechin were relegated after a 1–1 draw with Stenhousemuir on the final day.
