2019 US Open Series
In tennis, the 2019 US Open Series was the sixteenth edition of the US Open Series, which comprised a group of hard court tournaments that started on July 22, 2019 in Atlanta Open (tennis), Atlanta and concluded in Winston-Salem Open, Winston-Salem on August 25, 2019. This edition consisted of four separate men's tournaments and two women's tournaments, with the Cincinnati Masters, Western & Southern Open hosting both a men's and women's event. The series was headlined by two ATP Tour Masters 1000 and two WTA Premier tournaments, WTA Premier 5 events. US Open Series
The US Open Series was the name given by the United States Tennis Association (USTA) to a series of North American professional tennis tournaments leading up to and including the US Open. It was part of the "North American hard-court season". History The Series was initially organized in 2004 as a way to focus more attention on American tennis tournaments by getting more of them on domestic television. Until 2004, most summer North American tournaments were not on television, the exceptions being the prominent ATP Tour Masters 1000 events in Canada and Cincinnati. Since the inception of the series, Rafael Nadal is the only tennis player to win Canada, Cincinnati, and the US Open in a calendar year (2013), a feat referred to as the " Summer Slam" or the "North American Hardcourt Slam". The 2019 Rogers Cup were outdoor hard court tennis tournaments played from August 5–11, 2019, as part of the 2019 US Open Series. It was the 130th edition of the men's Canadian Open, a Masters 1000 event on the 2019 ATP Tour at IGA Stadium in Montreal, and the 118th edition of the women's tournament, a Premier 5 event of the 2019 WTA Tour played at Aviva Centre in Toronto. Dan Evans (tennis)
Daniel Evans (born 23 May 1990) is a British professional tennis player from England. He has been ranked as high as world No. 21 in singles by the ATP, which he achieved on 7 August 2023. He reached a career-high ranking of No. 52 in doubles on 26 April 2021. In 2015, he formed part of the winning British Davis Cup team. 2019 US Open (tennis)
The 2019 US Open was the 139th edition of tennis' US Open and the fourth and final Grand Slam event of the year. It was held on outdoor hard courts at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City. Novak Djokovic and Naomi Osaka were the men's and women's singles defending champions.
