2019 Orienteering World Cup
The 2019 Orienteering World Cup was the 25th edition of the Orienteering World Cup. The 2019 Orienteering World Cup consisted of nine individual events and four relay events. The events are located in Finland, Norway, Switzerland and China. The 2019 World Orienteering Championships in Østfold, Norway are included in the World Cup. Events Men Women The results of the last round (sprint) were contested after excellent performances by Chinese competitors, leading to a delay of the official results. The International Orienteering Federation deemed that the results stood in March 2020 following a review, stating that "none of the alleged elements of the cheating claims occurred or can be substantiated", and that "analyses show that those who produced the best results are shown and known to be capable of such running speeds". Gustav Bergman (orienteer)
Gustav Bergman (born 4 December 1990) is a Swedish orienteering competitor. He won a bronze medal in the middle distance at the 2013 World Orienteering Championships. He was born in Stockholm, represents OK Ravinen, and is married to Helena Jansson. At the 2016 World Orienteering Championships in Strömstad he won a bronze medal in relay with the Swedish team, along with Fredrik Bakkman and William Lind, as well as a bronze medal in the mixed sprint relay. At the 2019 World Orienteering Championships in Østfold he won a silver medal at the middle distance and a gold medal in the relay with the Swedish team, along with Johan Runesson and Emil Svensk. Olav Lundanes (born 11 November 1987) is a Norwegian orienteering competitor, hailing from Ålesund. He has won gold medal at the World Orienteering Championships ten times and the European Orienteering Championships four times. He competes for Halden SK. Matthias Kyburz (born 5 March 1990) is a Swiss orienteering competitor, junior world champion, European champion and multiple world champion. On 16 April 2020, Kyburz attained the world record in quickest time reaching 50km on a treadmill, in a time of 2:56:35, breaking the record held by Florian Neuschwander. Kristian Jones or Kris Jones (born 3 April 1991) is a competitor in orienteering and athletics, competing for Great Britain. He also competes for Lillomarka OK in Norway, Forth Valley orienteers and Wales. Yannick Michiels
Yannick Michiels (born 29 July 1991) is a Belgian orienteer. He is the first Belgian orienteer to receive a medal at the World Orienteering Championships, receiving a bronze medal in the sprint discipline at the 2022 World Orienteering Championships in Denmark. Ralph Street
Ralph Street (born 1990) is a British orienteering competitor. He was part of the British team that came second in the sprint relay at the 2022 World Orienteering Championships. His team included Megan Carter Davies, Kris Jones and Charlotte Ward. Street has competed for Baekkelagets SK in Norway, Sodertalje Nykvarn Orientering and Nydalens in Sweden and South London Orienteers. He has also competed for Sheffield University Orienteering Club.
