2019 European Speed Skating Championships
The 2019 European Speed Skating Championships took place in Collalbo, Italy from 11 to 13 January 2019. Skaters from 14 countries participated. It was the second time that the allround and sprint tournaments had taken place at the same time and venue. Sven Kramer and Ireen Wüst, both from the Netherlands, were the defending champions in the allround event. Kai Verbij from the Netherlands and Karolína Erbanová from the Czech Republic were the defending champions in the sprint event. Schedule The schedule of events: All times are CET (UTC+1). Ritten (; it, Renon ) is a ''comune'' (municipality) in South Tyrol in northern Italy. Håvard Bøkko (; born 2 February 1987) is a Norwegian former speed skater, and the premier skater from his country since 2008, with 32 national championships and thirteen international medals. He had junior results similar to those of Sven Kramer, Gianni Romme and Eric Heiden from the early 1980s before the clap skate. He is the older brother of Hege Bøkko. Haralds Silovs (born 7 April 1986) is a Latvian long track and former short track speed skater, who became the 2008 and 2011 European champion in short track. He has participated in three Winter Olympics. In 2018, he finished fourth at speed skating 1500 metres event.
