This article describes some of the 2018 seasons of TCR Series across the world. VLN TCR Class The 2018 Veranstaltergemeinschaft Langstreckenpokal Nürburgring TCR Class was the second season for the TCR Class in the championship. The calendar includes three rounds in Latvia and two in Estonia all supporting the Baltic Touring Car Championship. TCR Touring Car
A TCR Touring Car is a touring car specification, first introduced in 2014 and is now employed by a multitude of series worldwide. All TCR Touring Cars are front-wheel drive cars based on 4 or 5 door production vehicles, and are powered by 1.75 to 2.0 litre turbocharged engines. While the bodyshell and suspension layout of the production vehicle is retained in a TCR car, and many models use a production gearbox, certain accommodations are made for the stresses of the racetrack including upgraded brakes and aerodynamics. Competition vehicles are subject to Balance of Performance (or BoP) adjustments to ensure close racing between different vehicles. Peter Terting
Peter Terting is a German auto racing driver, born on 19 February 1984 in Kempten. He won the Volkswagen Lupo Cup in 2002, earning him a DTM drive for Abt Sportsline in 2003, although this proved to be too big a step up, and the teenager struggled to be competitive. After winning the 2004 German SEAT León Championship, he earned a full-time drive in the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) for SEAT, joining Rickard Rydell and Jordi Gené. He finished 12th overall, which included taking his first win in Mexico City, having finished 7th in race 1 and thus started 2nd in race 2 (the top 8 positions on the grid are reversed for the 2nd race of the meeting For 2006 he raced for SEAT's Team Deutschland in the WTCC, improving to finish 9th overall. Circuit Park Zandvoort
Circuit Zandvoort (), known for sponsorship reasons as CM.com Circuit Zandvoort, and previously known as Circuit Park Zandvoort until 2017, is a motorsport race track located in the dunes north of Zandvoort, the Netherlands, near the North Sea coast line. It returned to the Formula One calendar in 2021 as the location of the revived Dutch Grand Prix. History 1930s to mid 1980s There were plans for races at Zandvoort before World War II: the first street race was held on 3 June 1939. However, a permanent race track was not constructed until after the war, using communications roads built by the occupying German army. Contrary to popular belief John Hugenholtz cannot be credited with the design of the Zandvoort track, although he was involved as the chairman of the Nederlandse Automobiel Ren Club (Dutch Auto Racing Club) before becoming the first track director in 1949. 2018 Italian F4 Championship
The 2018 Italian F4 Championship Powered by Abarth was the fifth season of the Italian F4 Championship. 2018 TCR Italy Touring Car Championship
The 2018 TCR Italy Touring Car Championship is the fourth season of the ITCC to run under TCR regulations and the 32nd season since the national touring car series was revived in 1987 as the Campionato Italiano Turismo. The series will begin at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in April and conclude at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza in October. Teams and drivers Calendar and results The 2018 calendar was announced on 26 October 2017, with a single round scheduled to be held in France as the only round held outside Italy. Luigi Ferrara
Luigi Ferrara (born 12 May 1982) is an Italian racing driver from Bari. Career He began his career in feeder formula series such as the Formula Renault 2.0 Italia, Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0, Italian Formula Three and International Formula Master. He was champion in 2005 of the Italian Formula Three Championship with team Corbetta Competizioni. Ferrara switched to sports car in 2008, and won the Porsche Carrera Cup Italy. In 2009 he raced part-time at the Porsche Supercup. In 2010, the driver joined the Superstars Series with the CAAL team. Driving a Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG, he collected four wins and 10 podiums in 20 races, resulting second in the International Series and third in the Italian Championship. At the 2011 Superstars Series, Ferrara got one win and eight podiums in 18 races. He ended again runner-up in the International Series and third in the Italian Championship. Imola
Imola (; rgn, Jômla or ) is a city and ''comune'' in the Metropolitan City of Bologna, located on the river Santerno, in the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy. The city is traditionally considered the western entrance to the historical region Romagna. Autodromo Enzo E Dino Ferrari
The Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari, better known as Imola, is a motor racing circuit in the town of Imola, in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy, east of Bologna. It is one of the few major international circuits to run in an anti-clockwise direction. The circuit is named after Ferrari's late founder, Enzo Ferrari (1898–1988), and his son, Alfredo Ferrari, Alfredo "Dino" Ferrari (1932–1956). Before Enzo's death, it was called Autodromo Dino Ferrari. The circuit has an List of motor racing circuits by FIA grade, FIA Grade One licence. Imola was the venue for the San Marino Grand Prix between 1981 and 2006. Pärnu () is the fourth largest city in Estonia. Situated in southwest Estonia, Pärnu is located south of the Estonian capital, Tallinn, and west of Estonia's second largest city, Tartu. Auto24ring
Porsche Ring (also known as Audru ringrada, auto24ring, Audru Ring, Pärnu Ring, Sauga Ring and EST-Ring) is a motor racing circuit in Papsaare, near Pärnu, Estonia. It is operated by A2 Racing MTÜ and is the only permanent road circuit in Estonia. The circuit hosts rounds of Baltic Touring Car Championship and other Estonian, Finnish, Baltic and North European Zone events. It is also possible to rent track cars and enjoy different driving experiences or drive your own vehicle (car, motorcycle). Riga
