2017–18 LNBP Season
The 2017–18 LNBP season was the 18th season of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNBP). The regular season began on 20 October 2017 and ended on 2 March 2018. The playoffs began on 6 March and ended on 10 April 2018. Teams Changes from last season The league expanded to 11 teams for the 2017–18 season with the additions of the Aguacateros de Michoacán, Capitanes de Ciudad de México and Libertadores de Querétaro. During the offseason, the Barreteros de Zacatecas were renamed the Mineros de Zacatecas Club Deportivo Mineros de Zacatecas is a Mexican football club from Zacatecas that compete in the Mexican Liga de Expansión MX. The 2016–17 LNBP season was the 17th season of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional. The regular season began on October 13, 2016 and ended on February 11, 2017. The playoffs began on February 14, 2017 and ended with the 2017 LNBP Finals on April 3, 2017, after Fuerza Regia defeated Soles de Mexicali in six games to win their first LNBP title. Panteras de Aguascalientes (English: ''Aguascalientes Panthers'') is a Mexican professional basketball team that is based in Aguascalientes City, Mexico. They play in the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNBP). Their home arena is Gimnasio "Hermanos Carreón". It is one of the few teams that have remained in the LNBP since 2003, where in its first year in this league were crowned champions at the hands of coach Francisco Ramirez and one of the best foreigners on the shoulders of Devon Ford, in addition that only had 7 players in the squad in that year and with a directive without the ability to pay the salaries of the players during the playoffs. Morelia
Morelia (; from 1545 to 1828 known as Valladolid) is a city and municipal seat of the municipality of Morelia in the north-central part of the state of Michoacán in central Mexico. The city is in the Guayangareo Valley and is the capital and largest city of the state. The main pre-Hispanic cultures here were the Purépecha and the Matlatzinca, but no major cities were founded in the valley during this time. The Spanish took control of the area in the 1520s.
