2017 Cactus Bowl
The 2017 Cactus Bowl was a post-season American college football bowl game played on December 26, 2017, at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona. The game was the 29th edition of the Cactus Bowl, although only the fourth played under that name. The game was one of the 2017–18 NCAA football bowl games, 2017–18 bowl games concluding the 2017 NCAA Division I FBS football season, 2017 FBS football season. The bowl featured the 2017 Kansas State Wildcats football team, Kansas State Wildcats of the Big 12 Conference against the 2017 UCLA Bruins football team, UCLA Bruins of the Pac-12 Conference, and was the final game of the season for both teams. Brandon Alex Barnes (born October 27, 1996) is a former American football running back. He played college football at Kansas State University. Early years Barnes attended Pittsburg High School in Pittsburg, Kansas. As a senior at Pittsburg in 2014, he rushed for 2,361 yards and 38 touchdowns. Jordan Lasley (born November 13, 1996) is an American former professional football wide receiver. A concussion, also known as a mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI), is a head injury that temporarily affects brain functioning. The 2015 Alamo Bowl was an American college football bowl game played on January 2, 2015, at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. The 2017 UCLA Bruins football team represented the University of California, Los Angeles during the 2017 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Bruins played its home games at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. They began the season coached by sixth-year head coach Jim L. Mora.
