Asian Gymnastics Championships
The Asian Gymnastic Union (AGU) organizes Asian Gymnastics Championships for each of the International Gymnastics Federation, FIG gymnastic disciplines: men's and women's artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, acrobatic gymnastics, aerobic gymnastics and trampolining, trampoline gymnastics. This article lists only the senior editions of the Asian Gymnastics Championships, in which competitors must be over 16 years of age. Specific editions of the Asian Championships also exist for junior athletes; for example, the first edition of the Junior Asian Artistic Gymnastics Championships was held in 1971, but the first senior edition of the tournament was only held in 1996. Similarly, Junior Asian Trampoline Championships were held in 2010 and 2012, but only in 2014 the Asian Gymnastics Union held a senior tournament in conjunction with the junior championships for the first time. Shang Rong (gymnast)
Shang Rong (Chinese: 尚蓉; Pinyin: Shāng Róng; born 12 February 2000 in Liaoning, China) is a Chinese individual rhythmic gymnast. Career Shang debuted her seniors in 2015 Season although she did not compete in a lot of international competitions. She did not make the list of the Chinese team to compete at the 2015 World Championships. In 2016 Season, Shang competed in her first FIG World Cup event at the 2016 Espoo World Cup where she finished 24th in the all-around. On April 21–22, Shang beat compatriot Liu Jiahui for an Olympics license in individual rhythmic gymnastics by finishing seventh amongst a top 8 selection of highest score for non qualified gymnasts at the 2016 Gymnastics Olympic Test Event held in Rio de Janeiro. Gymnastics is a type of sport that includes physical exercises requiring balance, strength, flexibility, agility, coordination, dedication and endurance. The movements involved in gymnastics contribute to the development of the arms, legs, shoulders, back, chest, and abdominal muscle groups. Gymnastics evolved from exercises used by the ancient Greeks that included skills for mounting and dismounting a horse, and from circus performance skills. Alina Muratovna Adilkhanova ( kz, Алина Мұратқызы Әділханова; born 26 September 2001) is a Kazakhstani rhythmic gymnast. She is the 2018 Asian Games all-around and team champion. She is also the 2018 and 2021 Asian all-around champion and is an eleven-time medalist at the Asian Championships. She represented Kazakhstan at the 2020 Summer Olympics and placed twenty-first in the qualification round for the all-around. Zhao Yating
Zhao Yating (; born 12 May 2001 in Yuncheng, Shanxi, China) is a Chinese individual rhythmic gymnast. Career Zhao first tried rhythmic gymnastics at age three in Yangquan and began formal training at age six. She was scouted by former gymnast Wu Chuangrong and became member a National Elite Athlete of China in 2016. As a junior, Zhao won the all-around gold at the 2014 Pacific Rim Championships ahead of Nastasya Generalova of the US. Zhao won gold in hoop, ball and bronze in clubs, ribbon. Liu Jiahui (born in Handan) is a Chinese individual rhythmic gymnast. Career Liu has competed for China at World Championships, including at the 2014 World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships where the Chinese team finished 13th.
