2016 Supercar Challenge
The 2016 Supercar Challenge powered by Pirelli was the sixteenth Supercar Challenge season since it replaced the Supercar Cup in 2001. It began at Circuit Zolder on April 16 and ended at TT Circuit Assen on October 23. Calendar Due to noise restrictions the Supercar Challenge would not be competing at Zandvoort during the Opening Races on April 8 to April 10. As a replacement the Supercar Challenge went to Zolder on April 15 to April 17 during the New Race Festival. The event at the Slovakia Ring was moved a week from the original date before being replaced by Snetterton after all. Ligier Automotive, formerly Onroak Automotive, is a French company which designs, manufacturers, and sells auto racing, racing cars, specifically sports prototypes for various international series. Cornelius "Cor" Euser (born April 25, 1957) is a Dutch racing driver from Oss. Career After winning several Formula Ford titles in 1980 and 1981, Euser went to the FIA European Formula Three Championship part-time in 1982 and 1983. He expanded his racing in 1984 competing in the British and German Formula Three series. He made his Formula 3000 debut in the final race of the 1986 season at Jarama after failing to qualify for the first race of the season. He made 8 Formula 3000 starts the following year but failed to score points. He finally broke into the points in 1988, finishing 19th in the championship with a 5th place at Brands Hatch. The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. BMW Z4 (E85)
The first generation of the BMW Z4 consists of the BMW E85 (roadster version) and BMW E86 (coupe version) sports cars. The E85/E86 generation was produced from 2002 to 2008. The E85/E86 replaced the BMW Z3, Z3 and is the third model in the BMW Z Series. Initial models were in the roadster (E85) body style, with the coupé (E86) body style being added in 2006. Bas Schouten (born 19 October 1994 in Hoorn) is a Dutch auto racing driver. Schouten has raced in various international racing series such as the TCR International Series and Acceleration 2014. Career After a career in karting in his home country Schouten made his auto racing debut in 2010. Schouten was included in the KNAF Talent First programme together with Steijn Schothorst and Dennis van de Laar. De 15-year-old Dutch driver ran in the amateur BMW E30 Cup in a BMW 325i E30 entered by Bas Koeten Racing. Schouten also ran six races in the Dutch Formula Ford Duratec championship. BMW M4
The BMW M4 is a high-performance version of the BMW 4 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M, that has been built since 2014. As part of the renumbering that splits the coupé and convertible variants of the 3 Series into the 4 Series, the M4 replaced those variants of the BMW M3. The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG (C197 / R197) is a FMR layout, front mid-engine, 2-seater, limited production sports car developed by the Mercedes-AMG division of German automotive manufacturer Mercedes-Benz, with the assistance of David Coulthard. BMW 1 Series (E87)
The first generation of the BMW 1 Series consists of the BMW E81 (3-door hatchback), BMW E82 (coupe), BMW E87 (5-door hatchback) and BMW E88 (convertible) compact cars. The E81/E82/E87/E88 generation was produced from 2004 until 2013 and is sometimes collectively referred to as the E8x. Godefridus Franciscus Theodorus "Frits" van Eerd (born 25 March 1967) is a Dutch entrepreneur and racing driver. He was the general manager of Jumbo Groep Holding BV from 2002 to September 2022. As a racing driver, he won the 2021 FIA World Endurance Championship in the LMP2 Pro/Am category and co-founded Racing Team Nederland.
