2016 CS U.S. International Figure Skating Classic
The 2016 CS U.S. International Figure Skating Classic was a senior international figure skating competition held in September 2016 in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was part of the 2016–17 ISU Challenger Series. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. ISU Challenger Series
The ISU Challenger Series is a series of international figure skating competitions. Established by the International Skating Union in the 2014–15 season, it is a group of senior-level events ranked below the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Tina Garabedian
Tina Garabedian ( hy, Թինա Կարապետյան; born June 13, 1997) is a retired Armenian-Canadian ice dancer. She and her partner Simon Proulx-Sénécal represented Armenia at the 2022 Winter Olympics. Personal life Tina Garabedian was born on June 13, 1997, in Laval, Quebec, Canada. She is one of three daughters of Maral Dermeguerditchian and John Garabedian, both born in Lebanon. She attended L'École Arménienne Sourp Hagop up to grade 7 and then switched to Collège Gérald-Godin with a sports-study program to accommodate her skating schedule. In 2021 she graduated from McGill University with distinction, winning the Laddie Millen Award for top marks. She holds dual Canadian and Armenian citizenship. Mackenzie Bent (born June 11, 1997) is a Canadian ice dancer. With partner Dmitre Razgulajevs, she is the 2016 Canadian junior champion. With former partner Garrett MacKeen, she is the 2014 Canadian junior champion and finished 5th at two World Junior Championships. Personal life Mackenzie Bent was born on June 11, 1997 in Port Perry, Ontario, Canada. In 2016, she studied international relations at the University of Toronto. Mitchell Islam (born January 24, 1990) is a Canadian former competitive ice dancer. He teamed up with partner Alexandra Paul in 2009. They are the 2010 World Junior silver medalists, 2013 Nebelhorn Trophy bronze medalists, and three-time Canadian national bronze medalists (2011, 2014, 2015). His mother, Debbie, is a former ladies' singles skater who won the Canadian junior title and senior national bronze medal. Alexandra Jane Paul (born September 16, 1991) is a Canadian former competitive ice dancer. She teamed up with partner Mitchell Islam in 2009.
