2015 Johan Cruyff Shield
The 2015 Johan Cruyff Shield was the twentieth edition of the Johan Cruyff Shield ( nl, Johan Cruijff Schaal), an annual Dutch football match played between the winners of the previous season's Eredivisie and KNVB Cup. The match was contested by FC Groningen, the 2014–15 KNVB Cup winners, and PSV Eindhoven, champions of the 2014–15 Eredivisie. It was held at the Amsterdam Arena on 2 August 2015. FC Groningen
Football Club Groningen () is a Dutch professional association football club based in Groningen, province of Groningen. Founded on 16 June 1971 as the successor of GVAV, the team compete in the Eredivisie, the highest tier of Dutch football. Groningen played their inaugural season in the Eredivisie, before the side were relegated to the Eerste Divisie in 1973–74 as they got into financial difficulties. Groningen were promoted back to the Eredivisie as champions in 1979–80 and remained in the top flight for almost 20 seasons before they dropped to the second tier in 1997–98. Eric Fernando Botteghin (born 31 August 1987) is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a centre back for Italian club Ascoli. Career Botteghin played in the youth academy of Grêmio Barueri, but was also loaned out to Internacional for one season. In January 2007, Botteghin moved from Grêmio Barueri to FC Zwolle in the Netherlands. In 2011, he joined NAC Breda. After two seasons he transferred to FC Groningen. Jesper Drost (born 11 January 1993) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a attacking midfielder for HHC Hardenberg. Club career Drost was born in Nunspeet. Lorenzo Burnet (born 11 January 1991) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Eredivisie club Emmen. Johan Kappelhof (born 5 August 1990) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a defender. Career Kappelhof was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Whilst being in Ajax's youth academy for 13 years he moved from being a right winger to a defender. Peter van der Vlag (born December 5, 1977) is a Dutch former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He is currently the goalkeeper coach of SC Cambuur. Career Van der Vlag was born in Leeuwarden. He was part of the youth setup at amateur team, v.v. Wildervank, before turning professional with BV Veendam in the Dutch Eerste Divisie in 1997. Bryan Catharina Anna Petronella Linssen (born 8 October 1990) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays for J1 League club Urawa Red Diamonds. Michael Jeroen Maarten Michiel de Leeuw (born 7 October 1986) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a forward for Eerste Divisie club Willem II. Tom Jan Hiariej (; born 25 July 1988) is a Dutch professional footballer who is currently without a club. He is of Moluccan descent. Club career The son of a Moluccan father and a Dutch mother, he made his professional first team debut in 2007 with Eredivisie side FC Groningen under long-time head coach Ron Jans.
