The 2013–14 Ekstraklasa (also known as T-Mobile Ekstraklasa due to its Sponsor (commercial), sponsorship by T-Mobile Polska) was the 88th season of List of Polish football champions, the Polish Football Championship, the 80th season of Sports league, the highest tier domestic division in the Polish football league system since its establishment in 1927 Ekstraklasa, 1927 and the 6th season of the Ekstraklasa under its current title. The league was operated by the Ekstraklasa S.A. (corporation), SA. A total of 16 teams were participating, 14 of which competed in the league during the 2012–13 season, while the remaining two were promoted from the 2012–13 I liga, I liga. Each team played a total of 30 matches, half at home and half away. After 30th round, league was split into 'champion' (top eight teams) and 'relegation' (bottom eight teams) groups. Contested by 18 clubs, operating a system of promotion and relegation with the I liga, seasons start in July, and end in May or June the following year. Teams play a total of 34 games each. Games are played on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays. The winner of the qualifies for the Polish Super Cup. Since 2005, the league is operated by the S.A. (corporation), Spółka Akcyjna. Lechia Gdańsk () is a Polish football (soccer), football club based in Gdańsk. As of the 2025–26 Ekstraklasa, 2025–26 season, they compete in the Ekstraklasa. The club was founded in 1945 by people Polish population transfers (1944–1946), expelled from Lviv, Lwów, who were supporters of Poland's oldest football team Lechia Lwów, founded in 1903. GKS Bełchatów is a Polish professional football club based in Bełchatów. The club currently competes in group I of the III liga. History GKS Bełchatów entered Poland's Klasa A in 1977 under the name of Węgiel Brunatny Bełchatów, and gained promotion to the III liga in the 1981–82 season. It took the club another seven years to rise to the II liga (1986/1987 season), before winning a place in the top-tier I liga in 1992. The 2012–13 I liga was the 65th season of the second tier domestic division in the Polish football league system since its establishment in 1949 and the 5th season of the Polish I liga under its current title. The league was operated by the Polish Football Association (PZPN). The league is contested by 18 teams who competing for promotion to the 2013–14 Ekstraklasa. The regular season was played in a round-robin tournament. The champions and runners-up would receive promotion. The bottom four teams were automatically demoted to the II liga. According to the competition rules, all clubs are required to field at least one youth player (born on 1992 or later and trained in Poland) in every game (except for the times when the only youth player on the roster is sent off or unable to continue playing, in which case he can't be substituted by a senior player). The 1927 Liga was the 7th edition of the Polish Football Championship (6th completed season ended with the selection of a winner) and the 1st season of the Liga (now ), the top Polish professional league for association football clubs. The league was operated by the ''Polska Liga Piłki Nożnej'' (PLPN). The champions were Wisła Kraków, who won their 1st Polish title.
