2012 New Zealand Grand Prix
The 2012 New Zealand Grand Prix event for open wheel racing cars was held at Manfeild Autocourse near Feilding on 12 February 2012. It was the fifty-seventh New Zealand Grand Prix and was open to Toyota Racing Series cars. The event was also the third race of the fifth round of the 2012 Toyota Racing Series, the final race of the series. Twenty Tatuus-Toyota cars started the race which was won by 17-year-old New Zealander Nick Cassidy who became the who became the second teenager in as many years to claim the Grand Prix after sixteen-year-old Mitch Evans the previous year. The Giles Motorsport team dominated the race, filling all three podium positions. Dutch driver Hannes van Asseldonk finished second, 05 seconds behind Cassidy. Third was Austrian driver Lucas Auer. Jordan King
Jordan King (born 26 February 1994 in Warwick) is a British racing driver from Harbury, Warwickshire who last competed in the 2019–20 FIA World Endurance Championship. He is currently a reserve and development driver for the Mahindra Formula E Team. In 2019, King competed in the FIA Formula 2 Championship, FIA World Endurance Championship in LMP1 and LMP2, and the NTT IndyCar Series. He made debuts in both the Indianapolis 500 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. He also tested in Formula One, Formula E and the British Touring Car Championship. The 2013 New Zealand Grand Prix event for open wheel racing cars was held at Manfeild Autocourse near Feilding on 10 February 2013. It was the fifty-eighth New Zealand Grand Prix and was open to Toyota Racing Series cars. The event was also the third race of the fifth round of the 2013 Toyota Racing Series, the final race of the series. Twenty Tatuus-Toyota cars started the race which was won by New Zealander Nick Cassidy for the second time in succession, a feat last achieved by Simon Wills who won the race back to back in 1998 and 1999. The M2 Competition team dominated the race, filling all three podium positions. Briton Alex Lynn finished second, 0.7 seconds behind Cassidy. Third was Dutch driver Steijn Schothorst. The 2011 New Zealand Grand Prix event for open wheel racing cars was held at Manfeild Autocourse near Feilding on 13 February 2011. It was the fifty-sixth New Zealand Grand Prix and was open to Toyota Racing Series cars. The event was also the third race of the fourth round of the 2011 Toyota Racing Series. Sixteen Tatuus-Toyota cars started the race which was won by 16-year-old New Zealander Mitch Evans who became the youngest ever winner of the New Zealand Grand Prix and who is believed to have become the youngest driver to win an international grand prix anywhere in the world. The Giles Motorsport driver won by three seconds from another 16-year-old competitor, Russian Daniil Kvyat, of Victory Motor Racing. Australian ETEC Motorsport driver Scott Pye was third. Ken Smith (racing Driver)
Kenneth James Smith (born 11 August 1941) is a New Zealand motor racing driver, who won the New Zealand Grand Prix in 1976, 1990, and 2004. Smith first competed in motor racing in 1958, winning the New Zealand Hill Climb championship when he was 16. He progressed to single seater racing in 1962, first driving a Lola March T, Formula Junior car. Later he raced in Formula Ford, Formula 5000, Formula Pacific, Formula Mondial, and Toyota Racing Series among others Smith won the Gold Star Drivers Award in the 1975–1976, 1983–1984, 1984–1985, 1986–1987 and 1989–1990 seasons. In 2011 Smith won the Formula 5000 Revival championship for the third time. Michela Cerruti (born 18 February 1987) is an Italian racing driver, currently competing in the TCR International Series, with Mulsanne Racing. Career Born in Rome, Cerruti attended the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, studying Psychology. Cerruti's racing career began after her father Aldo 'Baronio' Cerruti, also a racing driver, decided to enrol her in a safe driving course with Mario Ferraris, son of Romeo Ferraris, a race-car tuner and constructor. Félix Juan Serrallés IV (born June 24, 1992) is a Puerto Rican racing driver. After gathering two second-place finishes in the Caribbean Karting Championship, Serrallés joined the Skip Barber National Championship and finished third. Afterwards, he was recruited by Fortec Motorsport and moved to Europe, where he debuted in the Formula Renault. Raffaele "Lello" Marciello (; born 17 December 1994) is a Swiss-born Italian professional racing driver. Career Leitch began his racing career in karting when he was six years old. In 2007 he began racing in formula racing series.
