2012 FC Machida Zelvia Season
The 2012 FC Machida Zelvia season saw FC Machida Zelvia compete in J.League Division 2 for the first time after being promoted from the 2011 Japan Football League. Machida Zelvia were relegated back to the Japan Football League on the last day of the season after a 0-3 defeat to Shonan Bellmare. They are also competing in the 2012 Emperor's Cup. FC Machida Zelvia
is a Japanese football club based in Machida, Tokyo. History Machida is known as "Brazil of Tokyo" due to the popularity of football in the city; it has, in fact, produced the second-largest number of J. League players though its football school. Originally formed in 1977 by Machida's football federation, this school is well known for its development of young talent into professional players. In 1989, in order to retain that talent in Machida, F.C. Machida established its own top team, which, at that time, played in the Tokyo Prefecture League. In 2003 they became a polideportivo under the name Athletic Club Machida, and in 2005 were promoted to the Kanto League, having won the Tokyo Prefectural League (First Division). They came first in the Kanto league (Second Division) the following year, and were promoted to First Division, where they stayed until promotion to Japan Football League as champions of the Regional Promotion Playoff Series in 2008. Colin Jenkins Marshall (born 25 October 1984) is a Scottish footballer who is a midfielder. Previously Marshall has played professional football in England, Scotland, Spain, Iceland, Japan, and Vanuatu. Career Marshall began his career with Aston Villa, for whom he won the FA Youth Cup in 2002. He spent the 2003-04 season on loan at Clyde, signing initially for six months, then extending the deal until the end of the season in January 2004. During his time at Clyde he won the SFL Young Player of the Month award for February 2004. Looking to play first team football, he moved to St Johnstone in June 2004. is a former Japanese football player. Playing career Aizawa was born in Niigata on January 5, 1982.
