Dutch Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The Dutch Championships in Artistic Gymnastics is an annual competition inviting Dutch gymnasts as well as others worldwide. It also serves as the National Championships for the Dutch gymnasts. List All-Around Champions In 2012, the National Championships were used to see who would be chosen to represent the Netherlands at the 2012 London Olympic Games, as they had not qualified a team and only had one representative. Céline van Gerner won the title of National Champion, and so she was chosen to represent the Netherlands. Céline Henriette Bianca van Gerner (born 1 December 1994) is a retired Dutch elite artistic gymnast, two-time Olympian, and bronze medalist at the 2018 European Championships Early life Van Gerner was born in Zwolle, Netherlands, but grew up in Emmeloord. She took up gymnastics at age seven at a local club in Emmeloord, Netherlands, and later moved to Turncentrum Sportstad Heerenveen (TSH). Lisa Evelien Top (born 13 August 1996) is a Dutch artistic gymnast. A Senior National Team member since 2012, she participated in both the 2014 and 2015 World Championships as well as the 2015 European Games. Early life Top was born on 13 August 1996 in Gouda, to Josephine Top. She has an elder brother, Rowan. Top first got into gymnastics at the age of four; her friend took her to a gymnastics class and the trainers insisted that Lisa and her parents enroll her in full-time gymnastics courses. Consequently, she began training at the DOS Heerhugowaard gymnastics club. In 2009, at the age of 12, she left her family in Heerhugowaard to train at the prestigious Turncentrum Sportstad Heerenveen in Heerenveen. She won a bronze medal with the Dutch team at the 2018 European Championships. She is the 2015 and 2018 Dutch all-around champion. She competed at the 2013, 2014, 2018, and 2021 World Championships. Chantysha Netteb (born 8 June 1997) is a retired Dutch artistic gymnast. Career Netteb competed at the 2012 European Junior Championships, and the Dutch team finished in 6th place. Individually, Netteb finished 22nd in the all-around final, and she won the gold medal on vault with a total score of 14.133. At the 2012 Dutch Junior Championships, she won gold medals in every event except for the floor exercise, where she won a silver medal behind Eythora Thorsdottir. She finished 6th in the vault final at the 2013 FIG World Cup in Cottbus after falling on her yurchenko 1.5. Netteb competed at the 2013 European Championships. Eythora Elisabet Thorsdottir ( is, Eyþóra Elísabet Þórsdóttir; born 10 August 1998) is a Dutch gymnast born to Icelandic parents. She competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics, where she finished ninth in the individual all-around, the highest placing ever for a gymnast from the Netherlands.
