Unidad Editorial, S.A. is a Spanish media company. It owns the newspapers , and . It is primarily owned by the Italian holding RCS MediaGroup. History Unidad Editorial emerged in 2007 after the merger of two media companies, namely Unedisa (controlled by Italian media conglomerate RCS MediaGroup) and . Grupo Recoletos was the publisher of the newspapers '' Marca'', and the magazines '' Actualidad Económica'' and '' Telva''. Unedisa was the publisher of , founded in 1989 by Pedro J. Ramírez. Back in 2000, Veo Televisión (owned by Unedisa) had been also conceded one of the two new DTT licenses granted by People's Party government. Following the leaving of Pedro J. El Mundo (España)
(; ), before , is the second largest printed daily newspaper in Spain. The paper is considered one of the country's newspapers of record along with ''El País'' and '' ABC''. History and profile was first published on 23 October 1989. Perhaps the best known of its founders was Pedro J. Ramírez, who served as editor until 2014. Ramirez had risen to prominence as a journalist during the Spanish transition to democracy. The other founders, Alfonso de Salas, Balbino Fraga and Juan González, shared with Ramírez a background in Grupo 16, the publishers of the newspaper '' Diario 16''. Telecinco
Telecinco is a Spanish free-to-air television channel operated by Mediaset España. The channel was previously known as Tele 5, because it had first begun its experimental transmissions on 10 March 1989, and a year later, it was officially launched on 3 March, 1990, becoming the fifth of the national terrestrial television channels and the second private channel in Spain. In 1997, Tele 5 was rebranded as Telecinco, dropping the biscione-absent flower logo seen in other Mediaset channel logos. La Sexta
La Sexta (; ; stylised as laSexta) is a privately owned Spanish free-to-air television channel that was founded on 18 March 2001 as Beca TV and began broadcasting on 1 April 2001. By 21 July 2003, the channel ran into debt and was shut down, but two years later in 2005, it was replaced by a new channel called La Sexta that began test transmissions on 25 November 2005, and a year later, it started broadcasting officially on 27 March 2006. The channel's programming is generalist channel, generalist, however, there is an emphasis on humour and entertainment. ''ABC'' () is a Spanish national daily newspaper. Along with and , it is one of Spain's three newspapers of record. History and profile ''ABC'' was first published in Madrid on 1 January 1903 by Torcuato Luca de Tena y Álvarez-Ossorio. The founding publishing house was Prensa Española, which was led by the founder of the paper, Luca de Tena. The paper started as a weekly newspaper, turning daily in June 1905. In 1928 ABC had two editions, one for Madrid and the other for Seville. The latter was named ''ABC de Sevilla''. On 20 July 1936, shortly after the Spanish Civil War began, ''ABC'' in Madrid was seized by the republican government, which changed the paper's politics to support the Republicans.
