Newcastle United Jets Football Club, commonly known as Newcastle Jets, is an Australian professional soccer club based in Newcastle, New South Wales. It competes in the country's premier competition, the A-League, under licence from The Australian Professional Leagues (APL). formerly under licence by Football Australia. The club was formed in 2000 when it joined the National Soccer League (NSL) and was one of only three former NSL clubs to join in the formation of the A-League. Newcastle Jets have won one A-League championship, after defeating rivals Central Coast Mariners 1–0 in the 2008 A-League Grand Final. Stuart Musialik
Stuart Musialik (born 29 March 1985 in Newcastle, Australia) is an Australian professional footballer. Club career Born and raised in Newcastle, he played junior football for Adamstown Rosebuds and was selected to play in representative sides such as Northern NSW at a young age. In 2004, he played for the Weston Workers Bears which under the care of Trevor Morris, awarded him a Newcastle Jets spot. The Weston Bears won the Premiership and then made it to the NBN State Football League Grand Final that they lost to Broadmeadow Magic. Noel Spencer
Noel Spencer (born 26 July 1977 in Wollongong, Australia) is a former Australian football (soccer) player who coaches Dapto Dandaloo Fury in the Illawarra Premier League. Club career NSL Noel played for his hometown of Wollongong from 1996 to 2000 and was part of Wollongong Wolves championship-winning team of the 1999/2000 season. Troy Hearfield
Troy Hearfield (born 31 October 1987 in Tamworth, NSW) is an Australian football (soccer) player who plays for Sawtell FC. Club career Hearfield signed for Newcastle Jets in 2006. On 2 February 2007, Hearfield made his professional debut in a game against Sydney FC. He made the transfer to Wellington Phoenix on 28 March 2008 after a rift between his former club Newcastle Jets about his release, and scored his first Phoenix goal against his former club on 23 November 2008. Over the last two season Hearfield has been a regular starter, playing out of position in right back for Wellington Phoenix. Craig Deans (born 7 May 1974) is an Australian former football (soccer) player and former head coach of the Newcastle Jets. Playing career Deans was a central defender for multiple Australian clubs, with most of his appearances coming in the National Soccer League. He made only two appearances in the A-League before a long period of injury Deans forced him into retirement as a professional player in 2007. Jobe Wheelhouse (born 14 April 1985 in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia) is an Australian football (soccer) player who plays for Lambton Jaffas. Club career Wheelhouse was unavailable for the majority of the 2006-07 A-League season and made his return against Perth Glory in Round 1 of the 2007–08 season. Adam Leonard D'Apuzzo (born 20 October 1986) is a retired Australian association football player who played as a left-back. Denni Rocha dos Santos, usually known as Denni (born 21 August 1982) is a professional footballer currently playing for Maltese Premier League side Valletta, where he plays as an attacking midfielder.
