The 1998 Dynasty Cup, also known as ''The 4th AFC Marlboro Dynasty Cup '98'' due to sponsorship reasons, was a football competition for the top four teams of East Asia. The fourth and final edition of the Dynasty Cup was held from March 1, 1998, to March 7, 1998, in Tokyo and Yokohama, Japan. The competition was won by Japan for the third straight time. Li Bing (footballer)
Li Bing (; ; born 16 March 1969 in Guizhou) is a retired Chinese international football player and currently a manager. In his playing career he represented Liaoning, Guangdong Hongyuan, Sichuan Quanxing and a short loan period with German side Kickers Offenbach. Internationally Li represented China within the 1992 and 1996 AFC Asian Cup before he retired and moved into coaching where he received his first head coach position with Chengdu Blades. Club career As a youngster, Li was quickly picked up by the Chinese under-23 football team and with them, he was allowed to take part in the Chinese football league pyramid where they called themselves China B. EAFF E-1 Football Championship
EAFF E-1 Football Championship, known as the East Asian Football Championship from 2003 to 2010, and the EAFF East Asian Cup for the 2013 and 2015 editions, is a men's international football competition in East Asia for member nations of the East Asian Football Federation (EAFF). Before the EAFF was founded in 2002, the Dynasty Cup was held between the East Asian top four teams, and was regarded as the East Asian Championship. There is a separate competition for men (first held in 2003) and women (first held in 2005). The winner of the EAFF E-1 Football Championship qualifies for the AFF–EAFF Champions Trophy. Choi Yong-Soo
Choi Yong-soo (born 10 September 1973) is a South Korean professional football manager and former player. Playing career Choi played as a striker for Anyang LG Cheetahs (currently FC Seoul) in South Korea's K League. In 2000, he led Anyang to the K League title, receiving the K League MVP Award. He is considered one of the FC Seoul's legends. Choi also played for the South Korean national team in 1998 and 2002 FIFA World Cup. Choi Sung-yong (born 25 December 1975) is a former South Korean football wing-back and midfielder. Known for his good stamina and concentration, Choi was noted for his ability for man-to-man defense. He performed a role to concentrate on marking Hidetoshi Nakata, considered the best Asian player at the time, when South Korea played against Japan in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Dale Michael Tempest (, born 30 December 1963, in Leeds) is a former professional footballer, best known for his time spent playing in Hong Kong.
