Lebanese Premier League
The Lebanese First Division ( ar, الدوري اللبناني الدرجة الأولى), commonly known as the Lebanese Premier League (), is the top division of the Lebanese football league system. There are 12 teams competing in the league, which operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Lebanese Second Division. The league's first season began in May 1934, with Al Nahda SC, Nahda winning the first title. The most successful club in the league is Al Ansar FC, Ansar, with 14 league titles; they set a Guinness World Records, Guinness World Record by winning 11 consecutive league titles between 1988 and 1999. Seasons run from September to June with each team playing 21 games per season. Most games are played on weekend afternoons. Bourj FC
Bourj Football Club ( ar, نادي البرج الرياضي, lit=Tower Sporting Club) is a football club based in Bourj el-Barajneh, Beirut, Lebanon, that competes in the . Founded in 1967, the club has won one Lebanese FA Cup in 1993 and one Lebanese Challenge Cup in 2019. Nicknamed the "Leader of Dahieh" ( ar, زعيم الضاحية, link=no), in 2019 the club was promoted to the Lebanese Premier League for the first time in 16 years. History In 1993 Bourj, captained by Mohammad Ismail, won the final the Lebanese FA Cup 4–1 after extra time, against Homenmen. Mallarby and Hassan Rahhal scored a brace each, while Papken Melikian scored the sole goal for the opposing team. Vartan Ghazarian
Vardan Martun Ghazaryan (; ; born 1 December 1969) is a football coach and former player. Born in Armenia, Ghazaryan moved to Lebanon and obtained citizenship through naturalisation in 1994. He played for Homenetmen and Sagesse as a striker, and represented Lebanon internationally from 1995 until 2001. Ghazaryan is the second-highest all-time scorer in the Lebanese Premier League, scoring 117 official league goals. He is also the joint-top scorer for the national team with 21 goals, alongside Hassan Maatouk. In 2017, Ghazaryan was appointed manager of Tripoli for one year. He returned as Sagesse coach in 2021. Muhammad ( ar, مُحَمَّد; 570 – 8 June 632 CE) was an Arab religious, social, and political leader and the founder of Islam. According to Islamic doctrine, he was a prophet divinely inspired to preach and confirm the monotheistic teachings of Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and other prophets.
