1992 AFC Asian Cup
The 1992 AFC Asian Cup was the 10th edition of the men's AFC Asian Cup, a quadrennial international football tournament organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). The finals were held in Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan between 29 October and 8 November 1992. The host nation, Japan, defeated the defending champion Saudi Arabia in the final in Hiroshima. This was the first Asian Cup not to have any debuting countries. Fahad bin Al-Harifi bin Fahad Al-Husseini Al-Bishi ( ar, فهد بن الهريفي بن فهد الحسيني البيشي; born 10 September 1965) was a Saudi footballer who played for Al-Nassr and the Saudi Arabia national team. He represented his country at the 1994 FIFA World Cup. Sirous Ghayeghran ( fa, سيروس قايقران) (22 January 1962 – 7 April 1998) was an Iranian footballer and former captain of Iran national football team. Playing career Club career He played most of his club career for Malavan FC. In 1990, he signed for Ai-Ittihad of Qatar. He did not forget his roots and soon returned to Malavan, helping the club win the Hazfi Cup and participate in the Asian Club Championship. Farshad Pious
Farshad Pious ( fa, فرشاد پیوس; born 12 January 1962) is an Iranian retired footballer who played as a forward for a number of clubs in Iran, most notably Persepolis, as well as the Iran national team. He is regarded as one of the best players in the history of Iranian football. He helped Persepolis win their only ever Asian Cup Winners' Cup in 1991 and also led them to a runners-up finish the following year.
