Pallavolo Parma
The Pallavolo Parma was one of the oldest and most successful professional man's volleyball clubs in Italy. Its colours were white and azure. Founded in Parma in the 1940s, after a sequence of incorporations with other teams, it is currently disappeared from Italian professional volleyball panorama. It won 8 national titles, 2 CEV Champions League and a number of other Italian and European trophies. History Founded in 1946 for initiative of the Railroaders's Recreative Club as ''Ferrovieri Parma'', the team took part for the first time at Serie A in 1949 and won its first national title in 1950. In 1954 Ferrovieri merged into ''CUS Parma''. In the 1960s the ''Gruppo Sportivo Salvarani'' supported briefly the club, which won another championship in 1969. FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship
The FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship is an international men's club volleyball competition organised by the '' Fédération Internationale de Volleyball'' (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The competition was first contested in 1989 in Italy. It was not held between 1993 and 2008, but since 2009, the competition has been held every year, and has been hosted by Qatar and Brazil except in 2017 and 2018 where both hosted by Poland. The current format of the tournament involves eight teams competing for the title at venues within the host nation over a period of about one week; the winners of that year's AVC Club Volleyball Championship (Asia), African Clubs Championship (Africa), Men's South American Volleyball Club Championship (South America) and CEV Champions League (Europe), along with the host city's team and a nominated team from North America.
