The 1975–76 Egyptian Premier League, was the 19th season of the Egyptian Premier League, the top Egyptian professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1948. The season started on 26 September 1975 and concluded on 21 May 1976. Egyptian Premier League
The Egyptian Premier League ( ar, الدوري المصري الممتاز), also known as WE Egyptian Premier League (WE EPL) after the addition of title sponsor WE, is a professional association football league in Egypt and the top level of the Egyptian football league system. The league comprises 18 teams and operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Egyptian Second Division. Seasons mostly run from August to May. Unlike most other leagues, all games are played all over the week. The Egyptian Premier League was founded in 1948, unifying the local leagues that had existed previously. 70 clubs have competed in the league since its founding. Al Ahly have won the title 42 times, more than any other club. Their closest rivals, Zamalek, have won the league 14 times. Olympic Club ( arz, النادي الأوليمبي) is an Egyptian football and sports club based in Alexandria, Egypt. The club currently plays in the Egyptian Second Division, the second-highest league in the Egyptian football league system. Mahmoud Ibrahim Ibrahim El Khatib ( ar, محمود إبراهيم إبراهيم الخطيب; born 30 October 1954), popularly nicknamed Bibo ( ar, بيبو), is an Egyptian retired footballer and current President of Al Ahly. He is widely regarded as one of the best players in African football history. Al Masry Sporting Club ( ar, النادي المصري للألعاب الرياضية) is an Egyptian sports club based in Port Said, Egypt.
