1968 Intertoto Cup
The 1968 Intertoto Cup was the second, following the previous year's in which no knock-out rounds were contested, and therefore the second in which no winner was declared. The tournament was expanded, with 50 clubs and fourteen groups compared to 48 clubs and twelve groups the season before. Clubs from Portugal and Spain participated for the first time. Group stage The teams were divided into fourteen groups - of four clubs each in the 'A' section, and of six clubs each in the 'B' section. Clubs from Belgium, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and Portugal were placed in 'A'; while clubs from East Germany, Poland, Sweden and Denmark were placed in 'B' groups. Intertoto Cup
The UEFA Intertoto Cup (from la, Inter, 'between' + german: toto, 'betting pool'),Most precisely, from ( football pool); cf. often abbreviated and more known in the German-speaking world as UI Cup and originally called the International Football Cup, was a summer football competition. The competition was discontinued after the 2008 tournament. Teams who originally would have entered the Intertoto Cup now directly enter the qualifying stages of the UEFA Europa League from this point. The tournament was founded in 1961–62, but was only taken over by UEFA in 1995. Initially, the tournament ended with a single champion, who received the Intertoto Cup. Starting in 1967, the tournament ended with a number of group winners (7 to 14 winners, see below), who received cash prizes. The Wiener Sport-Club, sometimes abbreviated as WSC, was established in 1883 in Vienna, Austria and is one of the country's oldest athletics clubs. Their traditional home is in the Dornbach quarter of the city ( 17th district). ŠK Slovan Bratislava (, "Bratislava Slav") is a football club based in Bratislava, Slovakia, that plays in the Slovak Super Liga. Founded as 1.
