1931–32 La Liga
1931–32 La Liga season started November 22, 1931, and finished April 3, 1932. As the Spanish Second Republic was established preceding the season, all the applicable clubs dropped the Royal patronage from their names and remove the crowns from their crests. Athletic Bilbao was the defending champion. Real Madrid CF, Madrid FC won its first title after finishing the season unbeaten. Valencia took part for the first time. Santander, Cantabria
Santander () is the capital of the autonomous community and historical region of Cantabria situated on the north coast of Spain. It is a port city located east of Gijón and west of Bilbao with a population of 172,000 (2017). Estadio Chamartín was a multi-use stadium in Madrid, Spain. It was initially used as the stadium of Real Madrid matches before the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium opened in 1947. Atotxa ( es, Atocha) was a football stadium in San Sebastián, Spain. It was the home ground of Real Sociedad until 1993 when it was replaced by Anoeta Stadium. It had superseded Ondarreta Stadium 80 years earlier. It had a capacity of 17,000 spectators.
