107th Cavalry Regiment
The 107th Cavalry Regiment, Ohio Army National Guard, is a parent regiment under the U.S. Army Regimental System, with headquarters at Hamilton, Ohio. It currently consists of the 2-107th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Squadron, 107th Cavalry Regiment, part of the 37th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (United States), 37th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (BUCKEYE), Ohio National Guard located throughout southwest Ohio. Elements of the regiment were involved in the Kent State shootings during the Vietnam War. History 19th century The 1st Cleveland Troop organized on 28 April 1886 at Cleveland. The United States Army Regimental System (USARS) is an organizational and classification system used by the United States Army. It was established in 1981 to replace the Combat Arms Regimental System (CARS) to provide each soldier with continuous identification with a single regiment, and to increase a soldier's probability of serving recurring assignments with his or her regiment. The USARS was intended to enhance Effectiveness#Usage, combat effectiveness by providing the opportunity for a regimental affiliation, thus obtaining some of the benefits of the traditional regimental system. 252nd Armor Regiment (United States)
The 252nd Armor Regiment is an armored regiment of the North Carolina Army National Guard, part of the 30th Armored Brigade Combat Team, which in turn is part of the 29th Infantry Division. The West Virginia National Guard is a part of the West Virginia Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety. It comprises the West Virginia Army National Guard and the West Virginia Air National Guard. The 38th Infantry Division is an infantry division of the United States Army and part of the Indiana National Guard.
