The Copa del Rey de Baloncesto ( English: ''Basketball King's Cup'') is an annual cup competition for Spanish basketball teams organized by Spain's top professional league, the Liga ACB. History Originally known as the ''Copa de España de Baloncesto'', was first played in 1933 and contested in its first editions only by teams from the provinces of Madrid and Barcelona. It was the first nationwide basketball competition played in Spain. During the Francoism, it was referred as the ''Copa del Generalísimo de Baloncesto'', before becoming the ''Copa del Rey de Baloncesto'' in 1977. Baloncesto Fuenlabrada, Sociedad Anónima Deportiva, S.A.D., known as Flexicar Fuenlabrada because of sponsorship reasons, or just as Fuenlabrada, is a professional basketball team based in Fuenlabrada, Spain. Anthony Bonner
Anthony Bonner (born June 8, 1968) is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball for Saint Louis. High school Bonner attended Vashon High School in St. Louis, Missouri, where he also played basketball. During his senior season, he averaged 14.6 points and 16.8 rebounds and was named the 1986 Mr. Show-Me Basketball. College career Bonner played college basketball at Saint Louis University. He was the Saint Louis Billikens' all-time leading scorer, with 1,972 points, until Gibson Jimerson surpassed him during the 2024–25 season. Professional career Bonner was selected by the Sacramento Kings, in the first round (23rd overall pick) of the 1990 NBA draft. He played six seasons in the NBA, for the Kings, New York Knicks, and Orlando Magic. He averaged 6.9 points per game in his NBA career. Miroslav Berić
Miroslav "Mića" Berić ( sr-cyr, Мирослав "Мића" Берић; born January 20, 1973) is a Serbian former professional basketball player. Standing at 2.00 m (6'6 ") tall, he played at the shooting guard position. Professional career Berić was the top scorer of the 2000–01 FIBA SuproLeague, averaging 23.3 points per game, while playing with Partizan. He also played for Tau Vitoria, Müller Verona, Scavolini Pesaro, Žalgiris, Panellinios, Azovmash, Llanera Menorca and Gijón. Andre Devalle Turner (born March 13, 1964) is an American former professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is currently on the basketball staff at Memphis after three seasons as head coach at Lane College. The Asociación de Clubes Españoles de Baloncesto (Spanish Basketball Clubs Association), more commonly known as the Asociación de Clubs de Baloncesto (ACB), is a national sports association responsible for administering the Liga Endesa, the main professional basketball league in Spain. The organisation was founded in 1982. Competition The 18 member clubs of the ACB are grouped into the Liga Endesa. In any given season a club plays each of the others in the same division twice, once at their home stadium and once at that of their opponents. This makes for a total of 34 games played each season in Liga Endesa. Clubs gain one point for a win, no points for a defeat. If points are equal, the head-to-head records determine the winner. If still equal, the point difference and then points scored become the deciding factors.
